Sacred Sunsets I Grief, Death, End-of-Life, Inspiring Life Stories, Latter-Day Saint, Christian:Kristy Ross I Sacred Sunsets LLC I Christian Entrepreneur, Grief/End-Of-Life/Educator/Coach

Sacred Sunsets I Grief, Death, End-of-Life, Inspiring Life Stories, Latter-Day Saint, Christian

Imagine the end of your life, looking back and reminiscing about all that has occurred, all that you’ve learned, what meaning it all had. Have you fulfilled all your dreams? Do you have regrets? What could you have done differently? What things were most important? What legacy do you hope you’ve left behind? Two things we as humans have in common are that we are born into this world, and we will pass on from this world. So often though, we get caught in the hustle and bustle of life and just survive every day. Did we take the time to really get to know and cherish our newborn child? Did we stop to play with or listen to our toddlers when they needed our attention? Did we show up at all their crossroads through their growing up years? How about the love and devotion for the grandkids? Did we give our spouse all the love and devotion they deserved as well as the support they needed through the hard times? Were we there as a listening ear for our friends? Did we take time to continually be in our parents’ lives and give them the care and support they needed as they aged and became less and less able to care for themselves? How did we handle the grief of the losses we’ve faced along the way? What is our view on life and death? Are we scared to die? Did we truly live? In this podcast we will have in depth conversations with the goal of guiding listeners through an embodied life evolution, by transforming grief into hope and peace, and preparing for the end of life with tranquility and acceptance. Through insightful discussions, my hope is that listeners will be empowered to embrace life’s journey with mindfulness and strength, illuminating the path of personal growth, spiritual reflection, and legacy creation, enabling each person to live fully, love deeply, and transition peacefully, leaving a legacy of grace and inspiration.  As an aside: I want to make note that though this podcast was originally started in June 2024, it has led in a few different directions. First, it aired as The Embodied Grace podcast which was all interviews on grace and identity as a child of God. I then realized that it might be difficult to create a coaching program around this and as I began paying for my own coaching program on optimizing this podcast for business, I renamed it From Ashes to Grace with the subject matter being trauma. However, The drive for that died out quickly. I missed interviewing people and between losses I’ve had in my own life, losses my husband has had in his recent life, and with my getting back into hospice nursing, I have really found a passion for helping others through grief, through supporting and educating on end of life, and with those things making mortality feel very real, I also look forward to helping others build a life they love, that they can avoid the common regrets at the end of life.  Since Christmas 2024, I’ve been speaking on grief and my initial coaching offering will be around grief with goals to expand to the other areas in the near future. This episode is airing on March 20, 2025 and the official rebranding will likely be in the next week or two  This is the next chapter for this podcast, from here on known as Sacred Sunsets. I can’t wait for this new journey we’re embarking on together!

Let's HEAL!:Elizabeth Jones

Let's HEAL!

Hey, Empowered Survivors! Welcome to Let's HEAL! I'm your host, Beth Jones, aka the HEALing Mentor. My mission is to inspire and mentor other survivors of trauma and abuse as they walk their healing pathways. I’m here to help you become fiercely devoted to your healing, turning your pain into your power. My experience tells me that the measure of trauma and abuse is not the events or experiences we’ve had as victims; instead, the real measure is the effect on our lives and how we survive, including how we behave in our closest relationships. For many of us, our survivorship is unhealthy and painful, often laced with more trauma and abuse, but there comes a point when we’re given an opportunity to heal. I am blessed to have stepped on my healing pathway in June 2020, and my journey since then has taught me that the healing process takes us through a series of actions to Hope, Evolve, & Love. Knowing true love is the endgame because being able to love across a wide range of relationships brings joy and purpose to our lives and meaning to our existence. Ultimately, knowing love is THE reason to HEAL. That’s why we're all about healing on this show, and through our guests, we will explore HEALing in action. Sometimes, I'll share my journey. Other times, we'll hear from fellow survivors about their transformational healing experiences, bringing purpose to their pain and shining light in the darkness of this world. We'll also have conversations with gifted healers and learn about various resources and tools from those who support us on our journeys. Come on, everybody, Let's HEAL!

Spiritual DNA. Corruption in the Louisiana Judicial System:Khara Brodrick

Spiritual DNA. Corruption in the Louisiana Judicial System

How do you survive in the worst economy era since our country was founded? In the worst most corrupt state in the NATION! This year according to the U.S. News report and multiple news reporting outlets, the state of Louisiana ranked in at not only the worst state in the United States but also as the worst state in the nation!  Worst meaning the highest crime rate, the murder capital of the world,  the highest prison rate, the worst roads, pollution, water that we bathe ourselves and our children in and consume daily. The worst ranking for education, the poorest state, the highest number of political officials to ever be indicted on FEDERAL CHARGES, ✋🏼 READ THAT AGAIN!, the worst single mom to poverty rate, illegitimate child rate, one of the worst overdose cases per state rates, one of the highest drug related criminal charges states, the worst health care, the most corrupted criminal and family court system rates. The only state that literally has DIRECT  access via ground and water to 4 out of 5 of the TOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATES IN THIS COUNTRY!  AAANNNNDDDD the only state who’s STATE POLICE DEPARTMENT, which supposed to help serve and protect “we the people”, is actually under investigation for corruption!  Yep don’t waste your time calling them because they are part of the problem. And that’s a fact according to the Department of Justice in Washington D.C. in the United States of America. Yet all the media shows is a bunch of Mardi Gras activities and LSU sports as if the majority of the people living here can even afford food, let alone the cost of being part of a real Mardi Gras Krewe in this state and attend a ball….that is for members only💯…….and as if these athletes on ANY LSU team aren’t trying to get the hell on to a whole higher level of the sport in their field!  Like anywhere but here!!!! We do have phenomenal athletes don’t get me wrong…but every single other component of this great state is in the toilet!  And I cannot say that LOUD ENOUGH! We are the only state that has a completely different law system than the 49 other states in America yet receives the MOST federal bail out money for all of these issues yet not one single statistic has turned around!! Not one!  We get the most money but are last in everything except athletes!  WHERE IS THE MONEY YALL?   How did we get here? How do we survive this and when are we going to get the help that we need and deserve as our God given right for just being born as an American citizen? When and how does this end?  Join me as I let you in on my journey and life story and how the corruption completely crucified me with no criminal record and the last  4 years of research I’ve done into one small town corruption that opened up a massive spiderweb…..and how it’s linked to not only the corruption in this entire state but how we, one tiny parish, has managed to play a vital role in this multi billion dollar human trafficking industry! The spiderweb of corruption that landed us with the worst ranking in all categories since Christopher Columbus. I cannot make this up!  If you liked “Take Care of Maya” and “The Murdaugh Murders” on Netflix. Then your going to be very intrigued and locked in by this project. Join me for a description and educational series on the centuries of sin and corruption that landed the great state of Louisiana as the worst state in the nation!

Leaving The Island:Audiation, Inc.

Leaving The Island

More than 13 million Americans may be displaced due to climate change by the end of this century. Where will they move, and who will decide how it happens? "Leaving The Island," a new investigative podcast series, reports from the frontlines of the Great Climate Migration, featuring the voices of historically marginalized communities, concerned scientists and the officials tasked to carry it out. Season One focuses on the 2022 resettlement of the primarily Native American community on Isle de Jean Charles, a barrier island at the tip of Louisiana’s Terrebonne parish that will be completely underwater by 2050. Albert Naquin, the traditional chief of The Jean Charles Choctaw Nation, had been trying to move his tribe to higher ground for over two decades when Louisiana was awarded nearly $50 million to resettle the residents in 2016. It was the first federally funded effort of its kind, met with great fanfare. But seven years later, the tribal leadership compares it to the Trail of Tears. What went so wrong? "Leaving the Island" explores this question, as well as a bigger one more Americans will have to face: what happens when to survive, you have to leave the only home you’ve ever known? "Leaving The Island" is a collaboration between Amnesty International Media Award-winning investigative journalist Olga Loginova and Peabody-nominated podcast studio Audiation (Kabul Falling, Fat Leonard, Radiant Minds: The World of Oliver Sacks), with editorial support from Type Investigations. For over two years, Olga has reported this story, reviewing more than 2,000 government and tribal records and conducting nearly 100 hours of interviews with subjects. The original investigative piece was published by The Center for Public Integrity and Type Investigations as a part of the "Harm’s Way" series, and was picked up by Mother Jones, Yahoo! News, Civil Beat and others. The series won the SABEW award, was a semifinalist for the 2023 Goldsmith Prize, and was a finalist for the 2023 Dateline Awards for the online series category. For more information about "Leaving The Island," see our website, leavingtheislandpod.com. "Leaving The Island" is an Audiation Original Production.
