Little Bit of Fluff, A by Walter W. Ellis (1874 - 1956)

According to the website www.stagebeauty.net, this is the 5th longest running play ever, with over 1200 original performances. Like Charley's Aunt (number 2 on the list and released by Librivox earlier in 2018), this also is a farce. An insurance investigator, a possible fraudulent injury claim, a lost necklace, an aged aunt with a more than passing resemblance to someone else, and of course, that Little Bit of Fluff - all conspire to cause great confusion. - Summary by ToddHWCast list:JOHN AYERS: Tomas PeterBERTRAM TULLY, His friend: Campbell SchelpNIXON TRIPPETT, Inspector of Claims for the Motor ’Bus Company: Chuck WilliamsonDR. Look out universe, Missy is on a mission. And nobody is going to stop her… The Eighth of March – Scattered through all of space and time, there are many women whose paths have crossed that of the Doctor. Rose Tyler: The Dimension Cannon – Rose Tyler’s world is ending. A summons has been issued across the universe to its prodigals. Whatever their skills, the war effort can use them. Susan’s call-up papers have arrived, and, unlike her grandfather, she is willing to join her people’s battle and finally return home. Because Susan knows the Daleks, and she will do her duty… Missy – … alone, unleashed and unfettered. What does she get up to when the Doctor isn’t around? Now she has what she wants, Missy needs someone to show off to. But her temporal mischief attracts the wrong kind of attention. He summons his other selves to a celebration of his ultimate victory. And they come – from across time and dimensions. But he’s forgotten to invite someone. And Missy’s not happy. Has the Master really conquered the universe? Or has something more awful been unleashed? Something that even all the Masters cannot stop? Missy is determined to reveal the truth. Because one fact about the Master’s existence never changes. No-one can trust the Master. Not even the Master. Master! – Abandoned in the Vortex, the Master’s lost incarnation is about to be thrown a lifeline. Earth rebuilds in the aftermath of invasion, and power rests with those who innovate. Genius Lila Kreeg makes a deal with the devil to see her dreams fulfilled. As the Master returns, there are those – like Vienna Salvatori – who wish to hunt him, and those upon whom he wishes vengeance himself… The Lone Centurion – Legend tells of the Lone Centurion – a mysterious figure dressed as a Roman soldier who stood guard over the Pandorica, warning off those who would attempt to open it; a constant warrior whose story appeared in the folk history of a dozen civilisations. Only… he seems to have misplaced it. Travelling to Rome in search of the Pandorica, Rory finds himself forced to perform as a gladiator in the Colosseum… where he attracts the attention of the Imperial household. Lady Christina – Jetsetter, adventurer, and owner of a very unusual London bus, Lady Christina de Souza is travelling the globe and catching up with the rellies. First, a treasure hunt with her reprobate father in the Indian Ocean. Then, a flying visit to the Australian outback in search of a lost Great Aunt… But Sam Bishop and Jacqui McGee of UNIT are on her trail. As one reunion takes a dangerous turn, Christina has a hard decision to make – for the good of the family! Missy – no longer alone, unleashed and unfettered! She’s stuck with a Meddling Monk, in a TARDIS that won’t fly without both pilots. It’s a partnership neither one wants – the Monk thinks Missy wants him dead. Whereas, Missy thinks the Monk is annoying. And wants him dead. The two Time Lords must learn to live together, or die trying… Jenny – The Doctor’s Daughter – Still Running – Jenny was made as a soldier but has a Time Lord’s heritage – and that Time Lord is the Doctor. Exploring the universe, Jenny found a friend – Noah, a mystery boy from nowhere. Together they’re ready to save planets, fight monsters, and save the day with nothing but wit and instinct – and an awful lot of running. The Year of Martha Jones – The Master has won. He has stolen humanity’s future and imprisoned his nemesis, ruling the Earth with an army of deadly Toclafane. But Martha Jones escaped, and now walks the Earth, telling stories of the Doctor. Above all else, humanity needs hope. And Martha will carry that hope across the world… The Lone Centurion – Camelot – Rory Williams – the Lone Centurion. A man trapped in a body not his own and stranded in history. His one job is to guard the Pandorica, the tomb of his fiancée. But life gets in the way, even when you’re immortal. The Eighth of March – Protectors of Time – Scattered through time and space, many women have crossed paths with the Doctor. Some were fellow TARDIS travellers, some were allies defending the Earth, and one was the Doctor’s daughter… Master! – Nemesis Express – Step aboard the Kairos, a recreational cruiser which traverses the Time Vortex itself. Vienna Salvatori is on a mission, and must make her way up the serpentine vehicle, from the crime-ridden rear segments, through the enclosed compartments of the mega-rich, all the way to front of the ship to face the man who controls it all… the Master!! Rose Tyler – The Dimension Cannon – Rose and her friends and family are trapped in another dimension on a parallel Earth. A childhood of mystery and wonder, of meeting aliens, time travellers, lost princes, intergalactic robots and so much more – all alongside Sarah Jane Smith. Sarah Jane is gone. Childhood ends. Everyone grows up eventually. But the story doesn’t stop there. When Rani and Clyde are reunited, adventure finds them once again – ready and waiting to take on the world! Rose’s mission is to save the multiverse, but first, she must save herself! Doom’s Day – Dying Hours – Someone has sent literal Death after Doom. She can only outrun it for 24 hours. Unless she can find the Doctor… Tick… Tock… As Doom’s final hours come into sharp focus, she’ll need to do whatever’s necessary to complete her missions, find the Doctor, and escape what increasingly seems like the inevitable. But how best to find the person who can save Doom’s life? Will the Doctor’s friends be her salvation? Or perhaps the Doctor’s enemies will be the route to survival? Doom is about to travel across thousands of years of time, and light years of space in search of her last, best hope. But even if she finds the Doctor, will a person who is all about saving lives help a person whose only job is to take them? Doom’s day is almost over. Time is running out. This could be the end. Rani Takes on the World – The Revenge of Wormwood – Sarah Jane Smith and the kids of Bannerman Road faced many dangers in their time. Fossil Fields:North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences

Fossil Fields

Ancient crocodiles, bus-length sharks and sloths the size of elephants once called North Carolina home. When one thinks of the great fossil fields of the world, the arid parts of Mongolia, sub-Saharan Africa and Wyoming probably come to mind. In North Carolina one can only find shark's teeth or a few fossil shells, right? WRONG! Parts of North Carolina and the Southeast are very rich in fossils. Coastal fossil beds produce large shark’s teeth and whale bones, but they also yield the skeletons of mammoths, walruses and giant sloths. Clay soils in the Piedmont have yielded the skeletons of reptiles almost 220 million years old. Much of the research relating to North Carolina’s fossil past is being carried out at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. In this episode, we travel back in time with talented Museum paleontologists to visit lost worlds beneath Piedmont clay and sandy soils of the Coastal Plain.
