In the first solo episode of The Ignited Man Podcast Stuart issues a rallying cry for mental health to 'turn the tables and push back against the machine of negativity in the modern world'.  Stuart talks about the need for balance, both positive and negative. For personal and collective growth, hope, and action. He highlights the power of positive framing and ritual gratitude in our daily lives in-order to counter the storms of negativity that rain down on us every day.Stuart tells the story when he had to endure major spinal surgery, his fears, and his physical and mental challenges. How he went from anxious, depressed, and angry to grateful, positive, and hopeful.
Physical scars.We are in the most part proud of them, a sign that we survived something significant and are stronger for it.We receive our validation, our stock as a human being goes up and all is well in the world.Unfortunately the same cannot be said for our emotional scars, such is the stigma that still surrounds mentalhealth.Attitudes are changing, awareness increasing but in action, we are still not anywhere close to supporting the people who need it most.These observations are not mine, but that of my special guest Dan Willis who joins me for episode 10 of The Ignited Man Podcast.
