Sometimes we put undue pressure on ourselves to perform what we think God's standards are. It's actually pretty simple. God says to love Him with all our mind, body and soul and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Last week we got the privilege of receiving a tour of Vertava Health out at Atwood lake area. They have experience in treating veterans. They are not a hospital; they have residential and outpatient treatment locations that create a safe and comfortable environment for Veterans to work through their substance abuse and mental health challenges. Why do we do the stupid things we do? In life, more importantly, in our recovery, we all need someone to hold us accountable. To walk beside us and to tell us that we're messing up. That is the true meaning of God's Love! We are our brother and sisters' keeper. To have the confidence, to step out in faith to correct them when we see our battle buddy struggling. Just as our father (God) does for us. We work as a team to build each other up in love.
