Description

Democrats are desperate to retake part of Congress. Their best shot is the House. This fall, they’ll be slugging it out with Republicans—but in the meantime, they’re slugging it out with each other. The progressive and moderate wings of the Democratic party are going head-to-head in Democratic primaries all over the country right now, wrestling over what the party should be and stand for. This week, we have the story of a candidate in one primary like that.

The schism in the Dems party has not been healed since 2016. Beals is the real deal and is fighting the good fight, but Center-Left will be persistent about burying him. The young Progressive movement is ascending and I hope it can finally upend establishment Dem rule. Center-Left is mostly over.

I'm with Beals. The Democratic party (of which I have been a loyal voting member for my entire voting life) has virtually abandoned the working class. They pay lip service, but don't deliver. We need to get money out of politics. Period. We need to go big, go bold if we want to win elections.
