I have seen many people hold on to things (career, relationship, projects...) that isn’t working anymore or that God isn’t in just because of the fear of being tagged a QUITTER, or cos many people already know them with it. My parents dissatisfied with my life's choices took me to a Pastor who asked me to write out the blueprint of my life. Guess what, I was completely clueless. I have seen many people hold back from sharing their opinion, contributing to a topic, joining a conversation, or creating content just because they think many people have spoken or are speaking about it already. But this is a wrong way to think. On this episode of #TeesThoughtsInTransit, I share some points why it’s important to lend your voice, even in a crowded space (or on an over flogged subject). 1. Some people can only hear it from you. Cos they follow you and don’t follow that influencer that has addressed the subject. Or cos they know you personally. Or for sentimental reasons like how they like your face or accent. 2. There is strength in numbers. What do you think made movements like #Endsars or #blacklivesmatter strong? It is in the volume of people talking about it. Not just cos people with huge following spoke, but cos everyone spoke. Lend your voice, add your quota, the movement/message is stronger with every additional voice. 3. Timeliness One common comment I get on my post and on @lifegivadotcom articles is “I needed to hear this right now”. There is such a thing as “a message in time”. There is no faster way to doubt the existence of God or the miraculous than when it hits home, when you do everything you know how to from church and the Bible to see a miracle but still lose the person. I can relate because I lost my brother who strongly believed and even worked in the supernatural to cancer.
