Around Sting she was recently in Children of the Corn remake, The Secret Kingdom, and will be co-staring alongside Jim Carrey in Sonic The Hedgehog Part 3 this coming fall. Even though she is still a kid she is a master of her craft, and is full of fun stories such as telling us how she is pals with Sigourney Weaver and was calling her on the set of Sting to channel her inner "Ripley". Over the past decade you have seen her prevail or get absolutely slaughtered in some of the most famous and fun campy horror movies such as The Flood, Piranha 3D, and most likely anything that involves a 3 headed shark. She has even murdered our boy Danny Trejo with a chainsaw. Her new movie The Black Mass takes a very different approach by telling a horrific true crime story of the 70's with one of the most famous serial killers in history. The film hyper focuses on a specific real incident that often gets over looked by the media, takes a real take of that period of time, and Devanny explains that the intentions of this movie were to honor both the victims and survivors of these acts. Was cool to hear her break down the layers of thoughts of bringing this film to like as she believes that "Horror can both entertain and educate".

Today we catch up with one of our all time favorite Juno nominated singer/songwriters STORRY. Last time she joined us we dove into her album "CH III: The Come Up" that told her real life journey of escaping an abusive relationship and being a sex worker. STORRY has currently finished recording a prequel album (CH II) that goes back to the first day she stepped into that world, and around hearing about her music, this episode is truly about self love and just being a human. After this convo I felt uplifted and inspired. A lot of those feeling came from the life knowledge STORRY shares with us from her personal internal reflections after recently returning from an intense 10 day long silent meditation retreat, and telling us what exactly happens to your brain when you are not allowed to speak and completely disconnect yourself technology and the constant static of this world.
