Business Ownership Simplified for Success Michael Morrison  For many of us, what started off as a great idea has become a nightmare of sorts. Being your own boss. Setting your own hours. Not having to answer to anyone? Isn’t that how it all starts?  At first it’s fine. Even fun. But, with growth, comes the problems.  I know. I’ve run into that with the ministry?    When we first started, I could set the entire week on the radio station in about four hours on a Sunday afternoon.  Two years later, it had become a full time job. Four years into this, I was working 15 and 16 hour days, usually 7 days a week. And that was just to keep up.  I was ready to throw in the towel. But, long story short, I started to hire some help. It allowed me to take as step back from having to do EVERYTHING – to now, passing off the routine tasks to others.  That’s just one quick example of what our guest today is helping many people to do.  Michael Morrison is a business coach, podcast host and for 20 years, a business owner. He now focuses on helping business owners to create a business that will run without the constant handling and day to presence of the owner.  Does that sound like a dream come true for some of you listening right now? His business is called, “Business Ownership Simplified for Success” – or BOSS for short!  He is also the host of the “Small Business Pivots Podcast” and is the author of a great guide titled, “DO NOT Start or Run a Business, My Way!  Business and Life Lessons I Learned the Hard Way!” Help me welcome to the program, Michael Morrison!  Michael it is a blessing to have you with us today! First question I always start with is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Michael Morrison? Your business, BOSS, or “Business Ownership Simplified for Success” sounds interesting to me – as you heard in my opening. This thing grew so quickly, it was not simplified in any way at all. The “Business” and the “Ownership” and the “Success” were happening – but the “Simplified” was nowhere to be found! Do many of your clients come to you with the same situation? Your tag line is “Create a Business that runs without you.”  That is an intriguing goal. How do you help your clients to achieve that dream? On your website, I seen where you help to connect business owners with business loans and things like that. Are you the facilitator of the loans or just offering referrals, etc.? Share with us about your book: “DO NOT Start or Run a Business, My Way!  Business and Life Lessons I Learned the Hard Way!” What is the number ONE thing you recommend a small business owner should do FIRST – before they actually OPEN a business? You host in person networking events in the Oklahoma City area, correct?   I want to ask you about your podcast, “Small Business Pivots Podcast.”  How long have you been podcasting? Share with us about your podcast and what the listeners will learn… Michael, this sounds great. If someone wanted to receive more information, ask a question or maybe invite you...

She is also a veteran of the US Army, Praise God! Kimberly has been featured on the Podcast Business News Network, and the Elite Podcast Business News Network, among others. She is an author of “Life of a Cloud – A Short Story,” which details her life from living in poverty, dealing with dysfunctional experiences and to where she is now – helping others achieve their dreams. She has started two start up companies and she is pitching some ideas to “Shark Tank” as well. Amen! She is also the host of the “Kimberly Cloud Show” which is on the Santa Maria Community TV Network and the Santa Barbara TV Network. Amen!  Help me welcome to the program, Kimberly Cloud.  Kimberly, it is a blessing to have you on the program today!  The first question I always start with is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Kimberly Cloud?” I understand you were raised in North Carolina, but you ended up attending Baltimore City Community College and then graduated from Coppin University, also in Baltimore. Now you are pursuing your Masters from the University of Phoenix.  I know that you faced issues after losing your mother to colon cancer. What battles did you face and overcome from that experience? You share that, “It’s not about the money, but helping people to find their full potential.”  How are you accomplishing this in your life and in the community? I read that, when you work with young people and are helping them to have a more successful life, you challenge them with real life stressful events so they can learn the basics of what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Can you share a little bit of how you do that? Tell us about the “Kimberly Cloud Show.” What is the purpose of the show. How long have you been doing this? You’re also interested in getting involved in politics, correct? If someone listening right now wanted to know what was the best thing about hosting your own television program and what was the worst – what would you say to them?Tell us about your book, “Life of a Cloud.”  Your book is on Amazon, correct?  Kimberly, this has been so interesting. If someone wanted to get in touch with you, to ask a question or perhaps to do an interview such as this. How can they do that? How can someone get in touch with you?I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below. Folks, Kimberly didn’t live the easy life. But, she relied on her Faith, her perseverance and her will to survive to do just that – and more! Praise God. Her story is one that will inspire others that may be facing hard times.  If that’s you, reach out to Kimberly, ask her some questions… get her book, watch her show. Praise God. She is putting these resources out there for someone just like YOU – to find these resources and find the strength to carry on and carry through. Amen!  Drop down into the show notes and get in touch with Kimberly today. Amen!  CONTACT INFORMATION:  Email:
The Decline and Fall of America Tom Donnan In the face of the decline and fall of America, it becomes crucial to discern and confront the spiritual forces that are shaping our world today. This concern extends beyond the realms of believers to encompass non-believers who are now witnessing unsettling changes. The resurgence of ancient demonic spirits, as forewarned in biblical texts, emerges as potential architects behind the unraveling of our culture and the transformative shifts that are being seen in the media. The fabric of today's society and of modern culture bears the imprint of malevolent spirits, exemplified by the proliferation of occult practices and emphasized by spirit of sexuality influencing gender issues. A discernible spiritual battle rages on, marking a need for revival in the name of Jesus. To navigate through these challenges, we must dismantle strongholds, live guided by the Holy Spirit, and unflinchingly invoke the Name of Jesus amidst the backdrop of America's decline and fall. We ARE living, in the last of the last days. To help us review some of the recent things emerging, is our good friend, Tom Donnan. Tom, it’s so good to talk with you again as we dive into what I shared in the opening, the “Decline and Fall of America.” Let’s start with the main stabilizing force in our country, the Church. The Church has lost its influence in the culture of this nation.  One way we can verify that is because of the drastic decline in church attendance. What have you seen on this topic? Mass exodus: Why church attendance is dropping across US (youtube.com) A nation that cannot field an Army to defend its borders or fight to protect this land is truly destined to be overrun by an opposing force. Have you seen the big news story about military recruitment has failed to meet its recruiting goals – again? US Army CUTTING 24 THOUSAND Jobs, Military Has Recruitment CRISIS (youtube.com) There is no doubt that Bidenomics has virtually destroyed the finances of this nation. You can’t print, print, print worthless money and continue to flood the economy with it. It generates massive inflation, to the point where the people cannot afford to buy anything anymore.  We are there. People cannot pay the credit cards, car loans, house payments, rent, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovXaIFPy-ks When people don’t buy anything, companies don’t make money – and layoffs result. This tightens the belts of families even more. Have you seen things related to that as well? This is also collapsing the mortgage industry as well. People can’t afford to buy houses… which means nobody is selling their houses – and another major sector falls by the wayside. The biggest Mortgage Collapse in US History is happening right now. (youtube.com) In fact, trying to “help the lower class” of wage earners, many states are now mandating minimum wage hikes to $15 per hour and some, like California, are floating the idea of $30 per hour – to work at McDonalds and things like that! The only way a business can counter those kinds of mandates is to raise prices. But then, again, families have to tighten their belts, which means they will just stop going out to eat… Restaurant Sales Tanked In January (youtube.com)
Journey To Success Dr. Melvin FutrellDo you want to be a “winner” in life?  I hope you said “YES and AMEN” to that question. Amen!Of course, to be a winner, you have to live like a winner. Too many people today are living defeated. Too many people today believe that, maybe, someday, they may win… but not right now.  Still others are “win a few, lose a few.” If that sounds like your life, you are about to find out just what it will take to turn that around. Amen! Our guest today is the founder of the “Winners Way” on Facebook, Dr. Melvin Futrell. Dr. Melvin is also the Bishop, founder and senior pastor of “Proceeding Word Church” in Chesapeake, Virginia. And he is the author of a great book, “The Journey to Success: How to Face Life Challenges, Setbacks and WIN.”He is a much sought after speaker and, through his work, he actively contributes to the growth and the impact of the Kingdom of God on this society – not only for this present generation, but for generations to come! And we are blessed to have him join us today! Amen!Help me welcome to the program, Dr. Melvin Futrell. Dr. Melvin, thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to join us today! The first question I always start with is this… Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Dr. Melvin Futrell?”Your background, you were destined for Division 1 football… but instead, opted for a stint in the Marine Corps. To that I want to say, “Thank you for your service.” I try to do that for every veteran I have on the program. I did 12+ years in the Army as well. On your website, you say, “Prepare to be uncomfortable.” Can you explain that for our listeners? As a ministry leader, share with us what it is like to be “uncomfortable” in stretching your followers to accomplish great goals that is outside their day to day “normal.”Let’s talk about your book, “The Journey to Success: How to Face Life Challenges, Setbacks and WIN,” a bit.First, why did you write this book and why publish it now?In your book, you share there are two ways you can learn important life lessons. Can you share those two ways with our listeners?Does someone have to be in business to have a mentor? How do you help those who choose option number two?Explain for us about the “Winners Way?”  How do you help people with that? What are the process if someone wants to get in touch with you and see about working with you?  How can someone get in touch with you and receive more information?Your book, “The Journey to Success,” how can someone obtain a copy? Is it on Amazon?I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below.Folks, life is not living according to what others say you should do or what others say you should have. It is not something that should be defined by your circumstances alone. It should not be a life where you only play small and try to play it safe.True living is living a life that YOU design. A life where YOU make the decisions, not somebody else. A life where YOU determine the circumstances and YOU don’t have to play it safe – you just need to play it smart! Amen!Of course, the most important part is knowing Christ as your Savior. That is foremost the first step to living a successful and meaningful life. Securing your eternal destiny is paramount. But, even then, as Bishop...
How to PRIME Your Business Matthew Sanjari There is no doubt that businesses today are struggling. This economy is wreaking havoc on many small businesses. This necessitates the need to make sure your business not only survives, but thrives. Amen! But, how best to accomplish that? Especially if you’re already struggling week to week, unable to see the grass from the weeds that are all around you? Do you feel like you’re just spinning in circles? You are working hard, but it seems like you have very little to show for all the effort?  You’re not alone, folks. If you are wanting to see growth in your business, but you’re not really sure of where to start? Our guest today will help to guide you down that path to success! Amen! Matthew Sanjari is the founder of “Prime Consulting.” After suffering a life-altering accident which derailed his prior career, he spent over a decade recovering. He had to overcome chronic pain, depression and a disability in the process. He created “Prime Consulting” in order to form a boutique consulting firm that helps businesses – just like your business – to thrive. Amen! Help me welcome to the program, Matthew Sanjari!  Mathew, it is a blessing to speak with you today and I’m so blessed you took the time to come on the program and share all about your business with us. First question, other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Matthew Sanjari?” When did you start this business – and why?  What was the need you identified that was not being fulfilled? You share that you help folks to see real results from their efforts. Can you explain how you go about doing this with your clients? For some entrepreneurs, we are so entrenched in the day to day operations, it can be difficult to take a step back and evaluate everything in perspective. How do you recommend a business owner do this effectively? You share that one way to build a better business is to invest in their people first. Building their people to build their business. Can you explain that for us? I’m a firm believer in the TEAM training concept. I’ve spoken on it conferences, etc. How do you go about improving how teams interact, learn and, basically, grow together? How do you help your clients establish challenging, but achievable goals that will grow their business? Many times, entrepreneurs will be “all in” as far as running the business. Often, this means taking from family time, forgoing vacations and things like that. The thought process is, “If it needs to be done – I need to get it done.” How can you help your clients overcome this syndrome? Mathew, this has been so interesting and informative. If someone has a question or they would like to reach out to you for more information, how can they do that? How can someone get in touch with you? I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below. Folks, if you own or run a business, it is so important for you to have clarity. Clarity on who you are, why your business exists and why you need a strategy to grow your business. You need to look at this from a place of your clients “wants” – not just their needs.
End-Time Surprises Dr. Richard Ruhling pt 2 As we witness tensions continue to escalate across the Middle East, many people are starting to wonder, “Are these the end times as described in the Bible?”  You’ve heard me interview many people on this topic and, almost to a person – the answer is “YES.” Now, on the topic of “WHEN” – they begin to differ. But the main point is – WE ARE ALREADY in the end times. We see Israel at war with Hamas – and instead of supporting Israel’s right to defend itself and eliminate the threat from within their borders forever, the world is condemning Israel. Some even condone the attacks of October 7thsaying “Hamas was defending itself against Israel aggression.” Add in the Huthi rebels threatening international shipping and the United States trying to defend the ships by attacking the Iranian backed rebels… Add in the recent drone attacks by Iranian backed militia in Jordan.  This was identified several months ago by President Biden and the Defense Department as a “red line” that should not be crossed. Well, they crossed it. So the question now is, “What will happen next?” All of the tensions are linked back to Iran. Hamas, Hezbollah, etc. Is the United States about to go to war against Iran? What does the Bible say about that perspective? To answer all of this and more, we have our good friend, Dr. Richard Ruhling joining us again today.  Dr. Ruhling is a frequent guest on our program as we discuss end time scenarios. You can go back in our archives and listen to some of the profound things he has identified before. In fact, he predicted the United States would be at war with Iraq – BEFORE 9-11 even happened! Amen!  So, perhaps we need to pay attention to what he sharing with us and with the world. He is also the author of great book titled, “The End-Time Book of Surprises,” which describes some of the things we will discussing today. This is part two, and the conclusion, of an eye-opening interview discussing the "End-Time Surprise" that is rapidly approaching...! How does Christ’s Kingdom and a “Time of Impending Judgement” is coming work together? This all parallels the “Wedding Parables” as well, correct? How do we actually “get” to the Day of the Lord? We’ve talked about earthquakes in various places.  Recently Taiwan… but talking about various places…just a few minutes ago, there was a 4.2 earthquake in – NEW JERSEY! How does the eclipse, that starts in the Bible Belt area and crosses across America to the liberal areas of the North East, tie into all of this as a sign? You also point out the Bible declares there is going to be a major earthquake to strike the earth that signifies, basically, “times up,” correct? What do you believe is the next major event that we will see coming over the horizon concerning the end times, possibly as soon as May 19th? Why can’t God just “hit us and get our attention” every time we get something, let’s just say, “wrong?” Dr. Ruhling, as usual, you give us a lot to think...

Help me welcome back to the program, Dr. Richard Ruhling!  Dr. Ruhling, it is a blessing to have you come back on and share with us today. The continued escalation of animosity against Israel, here in the United States and across the world, to me anyway – points right back to what the Bible says will happen in the last days. Is that the way you see it, too? You also are a proponent of emphasizing that, from Amos 3:7, “God will not do anything without first revealing it to His prophets.”  What else does God share with us about the day and time we are living in right now? How have we missed the “Gospel of the Kingdom?” The Bible declares “The End from the Beginning…” How does Christ’s Kingdom and a “Time of Impending Judgement” is coming work together? Folks, as we have been saying, the end time are here. We are living in the days the prophets of old desired to see – just like Jesus said. He also said, “We are blessed because our eyes do see and our ears do hear these things.” What does that mean?  Basically, what are we going to do with the information we see, hear and understand?  We need to share this information far and wide. Amen! You can start by...
Surviving the First Five Minutes of a School Shooting Daniel Dluzneski pt 2 We have all seen the news reports of active shootings taking place in schools, businesses and things like that. We have all watched as parents grieve and people ask, “Why?” “Why did this happen?” “What could have been done differently?” We all remember Columbine… it was after that event that “active shooter” training started to be taught to law enforcement. I had to go through it as a police officer. I prayed I would never need to use it… but I was ready if it ever took place. You don’t have time for S.W.A.T. in most cases.  In fact, you don’t really have time for the police to arrive before you take some kind of action.  This is now taught to churches, businesses and schools across the country. At the first indication of an active shooter, the first five minutes are the most important for your survival and those you love and care about. If you do the right thing in those first few minutes, your chances of survival jump immensely. Remember the adage, “When you need help now, the police are only minutes away.” Our guest today specializes in conducting “Active Shooter Training” for schools and businesses. Daniel Dluzneski is a retired 24 year member of US Secret Service Agency. The Former Coordinator for Emergency Management, Safety and Security for the Pinellas County Schools in Florida and the author of very important book titled, appropriately, “The First Five Minutes: School Shooting Survival Guide for Administrators and Teachers.” This is part two and the conclusion of a very important interview that needs to be shared far and wide in this day and time in which we live... I remember when we were running active shooter drills with our department, we were a State Police agency and had state buildings, etc. to protect, as well as infrastructure, etc.  Without going into all of the details because I don’t want to give away tactics, etc. in case someone is listening…  we knew the initial responding officers would be the ones to make entry. There was no more, surround and secure and wait 30-45 minutes for the SWAT team. You were going in and you needed to rely on your patrol partners in the process. I don’t want to get into the procedures and tactics from the law enforcement perspective, but in your book, you give several steps administrators can use to increase the survivability of this type of situation.  You start with the effectiveness of lockdowns. Can you share with us the “how and why” this is a vital first step? From my military time, I loved unannounced operational readiness drills. This would test the true readiness of a unit. I know the schools would like advance notice of a drill to give everyone a “heads up,” but that is actually not a realistic test. Did you advocate the use of unannounced drills for schools? There was always that, “This will never happen here” mentality – especially in small town America, right? Share with us about your book, “The First Five Minutes: School Shooting Survival Guide for Administrators and Teachers.”  Why did you write this book and why publish it now?

Our society is devolving and not evolving. It used to be unthinkable that situations like we discussed today would ever happen. Now, not only do we see them happening more and more – we actually need to prepare for them happening. A Spoonful of Courage Dr. Charles Page pt 2 In this day and age in which we live, medical advancements are coming on us a rapid pace. Faster and more detailed.  Because of this, medical facilities run sort of a “production line” of people in and out of the offices and hospitals. Gone are the days when doctors actually “knew ”their patients.  And the patients trusted the doctor because they believed he understood them and did not treat them as line item on a spreadsheet. Now, there are doctors out there that do have those kinds of relationships with their patients. I’ve been fortunate to find one where I live that I’ve been with for 20+ years. Amen. Our guest today is one that has made it his specialty to treat his patients with kindness, respect and dignity. If I lived in East Texas – HE would be my doctor. Praise God. Dr. Charles Page has been practicing surgery for over 25 years and has journeyed with thousands of patients. He is also the author of “A Spoonful of Courage for the Sick and Suffering” – which is an absolutely fabulous book!  And the book, , “Spoonful of Courage: Equations to Find Grace in Life’s Challenges.”  His ministry is also called, “Spoonful of Courage,” which we will be getting into today as well. As an ER Physician, Dr. Charles Page has seen a lot of things happen to people over the years. He is know as the “best guy to see on the worst day of your life!”  AMEN! This is part two of fabulous two part conversation with Dr. Charles Page! You emphasize that people are not alone. When facing medical challenges, is it normal for people to feel alone? Like, nobody cares? If you could pick one story from your book that inspired you the most, which story would it be? I do remember one story that I still remember to this day. Can you share the story about the old farmer that would give himself an electric shock to get his heart beating right? I found out you also have your own TV program now?  Congratulations!  Share a little about that? A Spoonful of Courage Dr. Charles Page pt 1 In this day and age in which we live, medical advancements are coming on us a rapid pace. Help me welcome to the program the “best guy to see on the worst day of your life,” Dr. Charles Page!  Also known as, Dr. Chuck!”  Doc – thank you for taking the time to join us today. You were on way back in 2019… episode number 618 or in that area. That was five years and almost 900 episodes ago!  Praise God – how have you been, brother? For those that may not have heard our prior conversation, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Dr. Charles Page?” If I remember correctly, last time you were on, I think you mentioned something about you being a “coffee addict” – are you still a coffee connoisseur? In the opening, I mentioned having a physician you can trust. Someone who actually cares about you. I know you call your medical practice a “BUSNISTRY” (combining business and ministry). Can you explain that term for us and how you use that to build that type of relationship with your patients? We were recently on vacation in Texas and my wife had forgotten one of her prescriptions. My doctor had given me his personal cell phone number and had told me to call if I ever needed anything outside of hours. I didn’t want to call him, so I texted him. He called back in 10 minutes and told me he had contacted the Pharmacy close to where we were at in Austin and phoned in the refill. I did not have to go through six voice mail messages and hope someone would call me back. That’s one reason I have stayed with him for over 20 years. It’s also only the second time I’ve ever had to call him over 20 years as well… I don’t know if you give some of your patients your personal phone number, but how do you build a “Busnistry” of trust? There is one story in your book where you share about doing little things the right way. It was a patient with a thyroid problem, is that...
The Heart Healer - The Pathway to Peace  Cyndy Bartelli pt 9 There are so many people in the world today that are hurting. Hurting in different ways, but hurting in their hearts that affect everything else. Not heart aches, but actual, hurting hearts. Pain that is deep rooted and affects them each and every day. What can be done for folks that are hurting like this? Well, that is where our guest today comes in… Cyndy Bartelli is our guest today. She was on before, you can listen to our previous interviews in our archives. She is also the author of a great book – “The Heart Healer: God’s Response to Personal Prayer in a Hurting World,” and her study guide – “The Heart Healer Study Guide,” Amen! But today, she is back for part nine in our “Heart Healer” series, Amen!  There are so many hurting people, many listening to us right now, that will benefit from hearing real life examples the Cyndy is doing to bring “heart healing” to people in her daily walk. Amen! Cyndy is here to minister to you with some examples of people who were in situations that may be similar to yours, maybe not exactly the same – but all of the examples are of people who are hurting. Amen. Be sure to stay and listen to the end, as she has a free gift for you today. Help me welcome back to the program, Cyndy Bartelli. Cyndy, thank you agreeing to come back on and minister to those again today who are hurting. I appreciate your time. For those who may not have listened to our prior interviews, can you briefly share with us “Who is Cyndy Bartelli?” And give us a basic introduction about your book, “Heart Healer.” We have been sharing some background and information on several of the people that you have helped along the way. Last time we talked about heart healing as it related to “How to Make Things Right After PTSD.” But today, I believe we are discussing “The Pathway to Peace” and how that relates to Heart Healing as well, correct? Explain this, “Pathway to Peace.” What is it your talking about here? Does this involve counseling, prayer, studying the Word?  What is involved in obtaining this kind of “inner peace?” Do you have any stories in your book you can give us an example of what we are talking about today? Cyndi shares the story about a tight-rope walker and a wheelbarrow. I know there are people listening to us right now that may be in the same or very similar situation as we have shared today. And I definitely know there someone listening to us right now that needs heart healing as it relates to this “Peace that passes all understanding.” Can you pray with and for them right now and help to bring “heart healing” to them just like you have for the others we have talked about in prior episodes? Before we go, I want you to share with us about your ministry, “Vertical Hearts” and how this ministry is helping you to spread the message of God’s extraordinary Love and ability to heal the broken places in people’s hearts…can you share a little bit for us? How can they...
Who is the God of Israel? TS Wright Scott Wright is back with us today. Scott has been teaching us about the different ages of the Church and significant things the Bible and history has to say about them. Amen. Today, we will be answering the question, “Who do the Israelites believe God truly is?” To do that, help me welcome back to the program, our good friend, Scott Wright!  Scott, good to talk to you again, buddy! Alright, let’s jump into this… Doesn’t every good Jewish person believe God is the God of Moses? What do they believe about God? Didn’t Moses reflect God to the people of Israel?  You’d think they would have a pretty good grasp on these things, right? Do think the Israelites just took their relationship with God for granted? Why is all of this relevant to what we see happening today?  Especially in the war between Israel and Hamas right now? What should we, as Christians, take from this discussion today? Scott, this has been so interesting as we discuss the current situation over in Israel. If someone wants more information or would like to ask a question, how can they get in touch with you? I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below… Drop down into the show notes and reach out to Scott Wright. Get in touch with him. Subscribe to his podcast.  And be sure to purchase his journal and start learning all about the “God Centered Concepts” that he specializes in. Amen! Do it right now before you forget about it later. Out of the Darkness Richard LaMonica How many of you served in the military or know someone, a loved one perhaps, that served. These last twenty years have seen a lot of tragedy. Our military members have suffered the brunt of everything that has gone on. For some, most of their careers were spent during a time of war. Richard LaMonica served 22 years in the US Army.  He seen it all. After he retired, life was not easy. But, through perseverance and hard work, he is making a difference. He is now helping other vets to get their life back. Richard is the author of two books, “13 Step Guide to Success,” and also a fiction book, “Out of the Darkness.”   He is also a coach, speaker and also the host of a podcast, “TheMisFitNation” podcast. Help me welcome to the program, Richard LaMonica. Richard, it is a blessing to have you on the program today, I do appreciate your time. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Richard LaMonica?” Like me, all you ever wanted to do was join the Army. I enlisted in September of my senior year and left for basic training 7 days after graduation. But yours took a little different route, correct? What was your MOS in the Army? When I left service, I thought I would be able to get a job fairly quickly – but soon found out that was not the case.  As I was contemplating my unique skill set, I realized there was not much opportunity for someone whose skill set was being trained to engage and destroy and make the other guy die for his country. Despite the leadership training, detailed planning, etc., it took me quite a while to find a good paying job. When you left service, you also found it a little difficult to get a job, correct? It took me quite a while to actually make the mindset transition from the military mindset to a civilian mindset. I’m talking about, “Something needs to be done – just do it.” Mission accomplishment, no matter how small the mission. In the civilian sector, it seemed like they were living by the adage of “Let’s put off till tomorrow that which could be accomplished today.”  Did you find the same thing? Your podcast is the “TheMisFitNation” podcast. How long have you been podcasting? Why did you pick that name, “TheMisFitNation” podcast? You share that your podcast promotes forward-thinking mindset and resiliency. Can you tell us a little more about your podcast and who you try to help and how? Do you serve as a referral source (of sorts) for vets seeking help and assistance? You also are an author. Your first book is the “13 Step Guide to Success.” What would you like to share about that book? One of the steps in your book is, “Do not make resolutions, they never work. Instead, create a list of 12 goals and write them down.”  Can you share a little bit about why you included that in your book? I loved the ones you included, I’ll just combine them here to save time. You tell your readers, “Go outside and breathe in the air. While outside, actually look up 3 inches and talk to another human – then bend down and...
Defeating Adversity Through Writing  Lori Keesey She’s written for daily newspapers and trade publications and her freelance work has appeared in regional and trade magazines, specifically those specializing in space exploration. Yes, Lori was a space junkie, and worked for NASA in public outreach for nearly 20 years. She calls herself and “accidental entrepreneur” and started the “Accidental Blogger” to help build an author platform, where she shares stories of overcoming adversity. She knows a thing or two, unfortunately, about that subject, as she faced her own tragedy when she lost her 33 year old son. Lori Keesey considers herself among the lucky. Recently retired, Lori enjoyed a 40-plus-year career as a writer and now has time to pursue her childhood dream of writing fictional characters who make a difference. She is launching her first novel, “Always Think of Me” in April of 2024. I read you worked for nearly 20 years with NASA in public outreach. I’ve been an avid space nut since about the age of 3. One of my earliest memories is watching Scott Carpenter on the first American suborbital flight in 1962.  In fact, I just returned from a trip to south Texas where I visited Stargate, where Elon Musk is launching his rockets.  So I have to be careful and not let our conversation today start to take on a flight all its own… Let’s start with what motivated you to begin the “Accidental Blogger.”  Was it a way to deal with your son’s death? How did your Faith help you deal with everything at that time? Does tragedy tend to challenge or change someone’s belief in God? I read that you came to the realization that he belonged to God his whole life, and was just “on loan to you” until his mission was completed. How did you come to that realization? I read that you came to the realization that tragedy comes in different forms our entire life. Can you explain for us what you mean by that? You also said that you measure time differently now. You reference pre and post tragedy. Do you find others use the same time measure after their experiences? People react differently when they experience some sort of tragedy. Some are angry, others sad. Still some have regret. Are all of these just moving through the different stages of grief differently or are they truly dealing with it in different manners? You also interviewed John Carter Cash about dealing with his addiction and, I guess you could say, how it runs in the family. What was the one thing you took from that interview that still sticks in your mind today? Let’s shift to a discussion about your book, “Always Think of Me.”  Why did you write this book and why publish now? I know it’s supposed to be published soon… April (2024), correct? This is a novel. Can you give us a brief synopsis of the book? I’m not going to ask “who” inspired this story – but does it have some reality included that affected you in some way? When will it be available for sale? I have one more question for you that came out of the research I was doing to get ready for our interview today… Can you share with us a little bit about an interview you did with a publicity shy...
Veterans Success Club Joe O’Connor At the age of 14 Joe O’Connor was involved in a serious near fatal road incident that left him in a wheelchair for a year. Undaunted, Joe resumed his life and achieved things he was told were not physically possible. Then at the age of 37 whilst on selection with the UK’s Elite Special Forces (S.A.S.), He was blown off a mountain ridge during a military training exercise, falling some 400 feet, breaking his neck, leading to two spinal injury specialists determining a prognosis of lifelong paralysis. One thing Joe recognized, is these experiences presented him with an opportunity to choose how his life would pan out and, on both occasions, he chose to move forward using each incident as his guide to achieve greater success. He refused to accept what fate seemed to have handed him. On both occasions he made a conscious decision to improvise, adapt and overcome and, in doing so, transformed his life. Joe holds the personal proof that every single pivotal moment in your life, gives you the opportunity to choose how your life turns out - rather than let life just happen to you. Does that make sense? Joe has been coaching wealth management and financial strategies for over 35 years reaching over 5,000 people. Of those, 80 per cent have been veterans and business entrepreneurs. His programs have helped people all over the world to become financially free and created many millionaires. His is the founder of the “Transformation for Veterans” nonprofit – aimed at helping military veterans and ambitious business owners to increase their knowledge and achieve greater success and financial independence. Because of his military background and all that he has been through in life, overcoming challenge after challenge, Joe understands the unique challenges and triumphs you face – no matter your background. Amen! Joe was finally able to fulfill his personal mission to complete the New York City Marathon… amen! Help me welcome to the program, Joe O’Connor!  Joe, I’ve been looking forward to this conversation since we first connected, brother! Share your story with us… What was your life like after that? When did you first start to come up with the idea to help other veterans? What is the difference between the “Transformer Lifestyle Company” and the work you do with veterans? Can you share a little bit about some of the programs you have that help people, veterans and non-vets, to achieve their dreams and goals in business? I wasn’t in Special Forces… but I was an officer in the Cavalry. So I’m familiar with the “Pathfinder” symbology in your course that goes by that name. In the few minutes we have left, tell us about your non-profit and how you help vets.. Joe, this is all so interesting. How can we get more information on your programs and services? If someone wanted to reach out to you and ask a question or possibly to do an interview such as this, how can they do that? How can someone get in touch with you? I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below. Folks, Joe O’Connor and his team have put together THE PERFECT PROGRAM to help YOU achieve YOUR dreams. Amen!  If you are veteran – you do not want to pass this by. You need to check this program out. It could be the answer you have been searching for. The Veterans Success Club is your ultimate resource for elevating your business and personal achievement to new heights! These programs are aimed at military veterans and business owners, as I said before. Drop down into the show notes and click the link right there. By joining the Veteran Success Club, you can unlock a world of possibilities for your business and your personal success. Together, with Joe guiding you, you can now write the...
From Genesis to Revelation  Michael McPadden pt 2 If you are like me, when I first started reading the Bible, I flipped it open to Genesis Chapter 1 and started from there. That’s how we were taught to read, right? From front to back. If you are like me, I made it through the first couple of books of the Bible and soon was “lost.” And when I got to Numbers… I was completely confused. When I finally made it to the New Testament, it seemed to make a little bit more sense… but still, it seemed like a bunch of things that were just tossed together, mixed up and then piecemealed into a book. I get that. It was a few years before I realized I was reading the Bible the wrong way.  Maybe that is where you are now, today. Or you have come to that realization as well. Our guest today is the author of a great book that will help us to study the Bible, understand more as we read the Bible and actually LEARN from the Bible. Amen! Michael McPadden is the author of "Genesis to Revelation: Abraham's Promise Finding Christ and Seeing God.” In his groundbreaking book, Michael invites us to embark on a journey through the Bible, unraveling its rich tapestry of stories to reveal the timeless truths about our existence—from our birth into perfection to our eventual resurrection into divine freedom. Through Genesis to Revelation, he sheds light on how the Bible actually flows together and reveals the Truth of our Lord and how we start our life, as babies, perfect… then lose our perfection, but – in the end, gain it back by the Grace of God and the shed blood of our Savior, Jesus the Messiah. Amen! This is a great book and a great interview. Join us as we conclude our discussion, with Michael McPadden! Your book emphasizes the interconnectedness of Old and New Testament teachings. Can you provide one or two examples of how stories or themes from the Old Testament foreshadow or complement the teachings of Jesus and Paul? The book of Revelation is often seen as cryptic and difficult to interpret. How does your book shed light on its significance in understanding the culmination of humanity's spiritual journey, from birth to resurrection? What is the main thing you want your readers to understand or appreciate about the Bible’s relevance to their own lives and spiritual journeys as they read your book? On predestination, why does bad things happen to good people? Are they predestined to not live a good life? How can someone obtain a copy of your book, "Genesis to Revelation: Abraham's Promise Finding Christ and Seeing God.”  I take it is on Amazon? If someone wanted to ask a question or find out more information or possibly do an interview such as this, how can they do that? How can someone get in touch with you? I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below. Folks, as I stated in the opening, when I first started reading the Bible, I was as confused as I could be. I wish there would have been a book like Michael McPadden’s “Genesis to Revelation” back then. It would have made my Bible study time a lot more enjoyable and informative and probably sped...

Other than that brief information I just provided, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Michael McPadden?” I love how you have laid your work out in this book. Basically as a narrative of human life from birth to spiritual resurrection. How did you come to interpret the Bible in this unique way? How love how you show Jesus and Paul as central figures in reconnecting humanity with its lost divinity. Can you elaborate on their roles in this process and how their teachings guide us along the path of spiritual awakening? Explain to us what you mean by “Paul’s Awakening?” Folks, as I stated in the opening, when I first started reading the Bible, I was as confused as I could be. I wish there would have been a book like Michael McPadden’s “Genesis to Revelation” back then. It would have made my Bible study time a lot more enjoyable and informative and probably sped my spiritual journey along at a little faster pace. Amen! Get your copy of this great book, “From Genesis to Revelation” as Michael McPadden takes you on a journey through the ages, weaving together the narratives of the Old and New Testaments to reveal the timeless promise of Abraham, the significance of Christ, and the omnipresence of God throughout the Bible. With meticulous research and spiritual depth, Michael reveals connections that illuminate the path of faith for believers of all backgrounds. Just drop down into the show notes...
