The Hindsight is a bi-monthly podcast, with new content released on the 1st and 15th of every month. Our first show will be available for download on October 1st, 2015. Your hosts, Hannah and Kelly (we can't tell you our last names) will go through the Animorphs series book by book, retelling lost childhood tales, and looking into one of the most horrifying and hilarious children's book series of the 90's.

Hannah and Kelly join Tobias for his bunny-inspired disassociation, eagle-inspired semi sexual something or other, and their own hypothetical clean fork self loathing.

Hannah and Kelly dig into the last book of the David trilogy, Book 22: The Solution, looking at the recurring theme of violation, Rachel's psyche at this point, and how the Animorphs terribly come into their own in the ongoing war for Earth.
Hannah and Kelly apologize in advance for a totally innapropriate Monty Python reference as we dive into Book 21: The Threat, discuss Jake's growth as a leader, devote about as much time as needed to the Save the World B plot and admire Visser Three's holo-ception skills.

Hannah and Kelly are finally back! Just in time for the new animorph to rear his theoretically frosted-tipped head.  Join us for our discussion of Book 20 The Discovery.
After an endless onslaught of broken mics, computers, and sickness, Hannah and Kelly finally return to discuss the rest of Book 19, the Departure. We talk about play structure some more, and continue to struggle with our admiration for and intial feelings about Cassie.    (Heads up, the audio gets a little buzzy at the 30 minute mark, and again at the 45 minute mark, but it lasts for less than ten seconds each time.We think we figured out how to fix it going forward.)

It's finally time for The Departure! Hannah and Kelly ponder the metaphorical meanings of leopards, wrestle with the genesis of their dislike for Cassie, and generally are emotional and philosophical wrecks over the this book.
Kelly and Hannah get overwhelmed by the beautiful nostalgia of dinosaurs, then blindsided by feels and Cassie empathy, in their episode about Megamorphs Two, In the Time of Dinosaurs.

Treasonous Andalites! Cinnamon bun rampages! Space-time shenanigans! That's right, it's time for Book 18, The Decision. Hannah and Kelly discuss KA Applegate's bizarre name choices, shudder at the existential horror of Z-space, and stumble drunkenly over Andalite names.
Hannah and Kelly discuss Book 17 the underground while struggling to understand life in a state as warm as California. The Animorphs struggle to come to terms with the morality of chemical warfare full of fiber. The yeerks struggle with a heart healthy drug epidemic and the 1990's struggle with whether mental illness is tragic or hilarious.  Warning for discussions of suicide.

Don't talk to strangers online, kids! Oh. Oops. This episode of The Hindsight is all about Book 16, The Warning -- a.k.a, that book with the goofy Yeerk chatroom. Hannah and Kelly discuss why KA Applegate's anti-internet stance is so funny, bug morphs continue to create new phobias for us all, and Visser Three steals a show he isn't even in.
Hannah and Kelly, despite what Marco would want, worry about one of their favorite Animorphs a lot in this episode. They also marvel at the Yeerk's new and innovative villainy, again grapple with how morphing with alien bodies in your body works, and Hannah unabashedly loves psychic frogs. It's Book 15, The Escape!
Well, let's just say it: This is the space-toilet book, folks! Hannah and Kelly get tipsy and giggle like twelve-years old at the word poop, the Animorphs face the existential nightmare posed by the pointlessness of much of this plot, and the Animorphs battle Hork-Bajir in a theme park because why the hell not? It can only be: Book 14, The Capture!
Hannah and Kelly are back with the rest of the Andalite Chronicles! Join us for Elfangor inventing the internet, Visser Three (or 32) learning the savagery of softball, and, as ever, the Ellimist being the worst.   Like the show? Hannah, Kelly, and Elfangor go back to the mid 1970s in the first half of this special two part episode, where we learn that Elfangor was just once like us, wonder who Jake takes after, and discuss the short comings of Space-Esperanto.      Want to discuss the book or episode? Free or Dead! Tobias tangles with the Ellimist, and the Animorphs make new and spikey friends in this episode. Kelly and Hannah ramble about Hork-Bajir ethics, KA Applegate begins to kick the tragedy of her war story into even higher gear with the clever use of the name Jeremy, Tobias commits a classic Magic Mistake while dealing with everybody's favorite Space-Wizard, and Hannah is overwhelmed by her secret shipper heart.
It's not easy morphing green in this episode of The Hindsight. Rachel's awesome allergies drag Hannah and Kelly into a deceptively deep breather book. While Rachel loses control of her morphing, and the nineties nostalgia gets totally "off the hook", Hannah and Kelly pour one out for the puberty book that never was.    Want to discuss the book or episode? Let's do the time warp again! Madness takes its toll, as the whole gang is transported to to the Amazon via magical Dracon beams, Hannah and Kelly get very distracted by a less-discussed aspect of morphing, and ants once again sweep the Most Disturbing Part of this Book category. It's Book 11, the Forgotten, and it's an action-packed (and tangent-packed) episode featuring everyone's favorite miserable war hero/criminal, Jake.
Something weird is going on with Erek King as Hannah and Kelly jump into Book 10, The Android, and start asking the big questions such as: What are the Animorphs willing to give up to win the war, how high ranking a yeerk do you have to be to plan a barbecue and what is Jake's favorite Offspring song?     Want to discuss the book or episode? Hannah and Kelly go over what we know about Yeerks so far, what we don't know about appendixes, and what we wish we didn't know about Battle Field Earth.      Want to discuss the book or episode? The Planeteers - we mean, the Animorphs, go save the skunks! The dastardly Yeerks are up to no good in the National Forests, Cassie is up to her ears in PTSD, and Hannah and Kelly once again realize they have totally misremembered a book. Operation: Like Cassie More continues in Episode 10.
