Eric Manix returns and is fresh off the set of filming an X-men fan film. We talk about the comics we have been reading recently, including some from Valiant comics. Then we ask whether or not comic book publishers should comment on things like Comicsgate.
This week we discuss a beautiful graphic novel called Iron: Or, The War After. It's an anthropomorphic spy-thriller set in a bleak world after a civil war with some fascinating characters. This books packs a hell of a lot in a small amount of space and does so excellently.
It's been a while since we last did an episode of The Captain's Log, but we are back with Jess Bever and Belinda Garcia! Plus, Kyle shares a mysterious story about The Great Gatsby.

This week we discuss The Infinite Loop, a sci-fi, time-travel adventure comic about a woman who falls in love with a person she is supposed to destroy. Will she do her job, or run away with the woman of her dreams?
This week we discuss Wet Hot American Summer. It's a comedy/spoof on teenage comedies from the 70s/80s and the memories of good old summer camp. It even stars some young up and coming actors like Bradley Cooper and Tina Fey.
This week we discuss House of Five Leaves. It's an anime that follows a down-on-his-luck samurai that ends up taking a job as a bodyguard for a local criminal, but begins to question the morality of his decision. It's a slice of life show with a fascinating mystery that builds as it goes on.
You have all heard Eric Manix talk about comics and podcasting and photography, but what about video games? Maybe not. So, this week Eric runs us down his video game history including the systems he had growing up and a few favorite games.
This week we discuss All-Star Superman! It's a graphic novel by Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly about what Superman would do if he found out he was dying. It's Morrison's love letter to Superman and filled with layers of metaphor and plenty of symbolism to unpack.
What if we had Membership Rings instead of membership cards? We discuss the merits of that, plus the new Titans trailer and the whole fiasco with James Gunn getting fired.
This week we discuss the first season of Star Wars Rebels. This was the first Star Wars cartoon that Disney produced after that had bought Lucas Film. Rebels also served as a follow up to the popular Star Wars: The Clone Wars which originally aired on Cartoon Network.
DC comics recently announced that G. Willow Wilson will be writing Wonder Woman. Her work on Ms. Marvel is highly praised, so we cannot wait for her to take the reigns of Wonder Woman. Plus, Scarlett Johansson drops her role in Rub and Tug.
