Our Response To Adversity Dictates Our Future. A crippling genetic disease caused Brain Wagner to lose his sight and to almost lose hope. Brian’s blindness enabled him to see the world with new vision. Now he’s on a mission. He took a chance on surgery that could have made things worse. Fortunately, it partially restored his sight. Bob Ghiloni has served as the head men’s basketball coach at Denison since 2002. within two years, he had turned around a program that had endured seven losing seasons. During his tenure he has led the DU basketball program to a third-place finish in 2005, an appearance in the NCAC Championship game in 2012 and the NCAC Championship in 2016.
