Description

We have a community where the broken, and the misfits are loved. A place where diversity is celebrated and encouraged.

We have a community where everyone is welcome, because no one is perfect, but anything is possible.

We have a community where we strive not to make us famous, but strive to make Jesus famous in all that we do.

We are less about a show and more about people.

We are The Neighborhood Church.

We meet at the Easley Cinemas behind Applebee's on Sunday mornings.

Their are two types of yards: the prison yard and the front yard. One brings joy and the other brings regret. One serves time and the other serves others. Are you serving? Why are you serving?

Text: Matthew 9:35-38How to Help without Enabling1. We want to learn, with the help of God, to offer what they need, not what they want. We need to identify the real need. We need to pay attention to actions, not words. 2. We need to set healthy boundaries. We need to set up Time boundaries with overly needy people. We also need to set up Resource boundaries 3. ALLOW THEM TO FACE THEIR CONSEQUENCES.2 THINGS TO REMEMBER.Rescuing isn’t always helping. Write this down. Jesus is the Savior, not you. Jesus is the Savior, not you.
Interacting with others seems to be an unavoidable part of life, but what happens when there are certain people we wish we could avoid? How do we handle rude, unpleasant, annoying, and just plain difficult people?Ephesians 4:31-32 (HCSB) 31 All bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice. 32 And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ. John 5:30 (HCSB) 30 “I can do nothing on My own. I judge only as I hear, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15 (HCSB) 14 And we exhort you, brothers: warn those who are irresponsible, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all. Matthew 18:15-16 (HCSB) 15 “If your brother sins against you, go and rebuke him in private. If he listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 But if he won’t listen, take one or two more with you, so that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every fact may be established. James 1:19 (HCSB) 19 My dearly loved brothers, understand this: Everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger
The Power of Prayer

The Power of Prayer

2015-09-27--:--

The Intense Prayer of a Christ Follower is powerful and effective! James 5:13-18 (HCSB) 13 Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises. 14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church, and they should pray over him after anointing him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The intense prayer of the righteous is very powerful. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours; yet he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the land. 18 Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its fruit. 1 Kings 17:1 (HCSB) 1 Now Elijah the Tishbite, from the Gilead settlers, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, I stand before Him, and there will be no dew or rain during these years except by my command!” 1 Kings 18:41-46 (HCSB) 41 Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a rainstorm.” 42 So Ahab went to eat and drink, but Elijah went up to the summit of Carmel. He bowed down to the ground and put his face between his knees. 43 Then he said to his servant, “Go up and look toward the sea.” So he went up, looked, and said, “There’s nothing.” Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.” 44 On the seventh time, he reported, “There’s a cloud as small as a man’s hand coming from the sea.” Then Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Get [your chariot] ready and go down so the rain doesn’t stop you.’ ” 45 In a little while, the sky grew dark with clouds and wind, and there was a downpour. So Ahab got in [his chariot] and went to Jezreel. 46 The power of the Lord was on Elijah, and he tucked his mantle under his belt and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
