It is an honor to have Rev. Santes Beatty back at Southern Wesleyan University as a favored speaker for chapel, challenging us to not give up but to keep moving forward in Christ. Pastor Santes Beatty serves as the Campus Pastor for Mosaic Midtown Church in Detroit, MI and as the Multiethnic Multiplication Catalyst for the Wesleyan Church. He has a passion for seeing healthy, gospel centered, multiethnic ministries grow as disciples make disciples and churches multiply themselves until there is a transforming presence in every zip code.
On December 10, 2021 Southern Wesleyan University will hold commencement with Mr. Pete Benson as the key note speaker. Pete Benson is an impactful leader and professional with a heart for higher education. Mr. Benson holds a M.A. in Pastoral Counseling from Eastern Nazarene College and a B.A. in Religion from Kingswood University. Mr. Benson is the founder and co-owner of Beacon Capital Management in Franklin, Tennessee and also co-hosts a weekly television and radio program called “Beacon Retirement Strategies.” Benson has also authored five books. He has been interviewed and featured live on Fox Business and CNBC’s The Closing Bell, and has been featured in several media outlets such as Forbes, Fox business, Yahoo Finance, Reuters, CNBC, local CBS and NBC affiliates in Nashville market, among others.
Jack Eason serves ministries and non profits throughout the United States and around the world sharing principles for fundraising, growth and development, board governance, and other areas of ministry leadership. He enjoys serving as one of the pastors at Cross Roads Baptist Church in the Upstate of South Carolina as well as the of Crossover CUPS Mission, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that has been privileged to serve the local Church and missions-related organizations around the world for 30 years. Jack also travels speaking to students in high school and college and talks about the issue of loneliness, how we can make good friends, and the power of togetherness. In this new and seasonal-named series of chapel addresses, Rev. Ken Dill shares what the entrance of the Holy Spirit means in our lives and stories. Starting with an example from the life of Elijah, he encourages us to partner with the Holy Spirit in accomplishing what God has set before us.
As part of SWU's Wellness Week, Rev. Deborah Rhodes provides a godly perspective on anxiety and steps we can take to ensure that God's promised peace is found in our lives.
