So many amazing guests! Paolo, Jessie, Ellie B., Ruby and the wonderful Amy Cotlow all joined Joseph for an outing to the Woodland Park Zoo. Pao and Jessie know the zoo like the back of each other’s engagement ring hands (they’re engaged!) and were the perfect guides. We discuss why they love the zoo so much, whether or not it’s okay to go to there alone, and what it’s like to take children out in public. And Joseph gets to talk about time travel and gets very excited! Almost too excited!
Ray Schwabacher took host, Joe Tady, out to the ballgame but refused to buy him any peanuts (cause he’s allergic) or crackerjacks (cause what is that?). The boys talk about Jay Buhner bobble head night, Ray’s history of writing about baseball professionally, and a bit of Mariner’s lore. They also try to unwrap the mystery of SODO MOJO and staying True To The Blue.
Mac Hamilton loves Cinerama. Mac Hamilton hates Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. Listen to Joe Tady chat with this registered cinephile about his childhood experiences at this unique movie theater. They also delve into the Cinerama’s history, review the movie, and realize Paul Allen owns most of Seattle. Plus, who is Cam Mamilton!?
Come to the Pacific Science Center with Joseph, his sister Sara, and niece Adela! They learned about how toilets flush, walked with the butterflies, and found out dinosaurs still scare kids. And why did all of their childhood pets try to eat each other?
Phil Jones and Aaron O’neil join Joe Tady on the most confusing day out so far. They struggle to break down the minutiae of the Monorail’s underwhelming 3-minute ride. Luckily they stumbled onto a Whirligig Festival, got some souvenirs, and Phil hasn’t seen Titanic so they still have plenty to discuss.
