It's been a while since we tackled haunted hotels and so on this episode we explore just that, with tales of high strangeness from Hong Kong, South Korea, and North America! We also give our opinions on 2 episodes of the new Netflix series "Files of the Unexplained", talking about the Yuba County 5 and the Pascagoula Incident.

Is New York known as the City That Never Sleeps because it's wracked with shame over never having its own GSG show? There's no one in the room to disagree with us, so we're going to say yes. But fear not, Big Apple, for on this episode we dive into apartment hauntings, ghosts of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, and a listener story from the 9/11 Memorial, and a whole lot more!

What high strangeness awaits you in the deserts of Southern California? On this episode, we find out, courtesy of Derek Hayes (Monsters Among Us) and David Flora (Blurry Photos), who join us to talk about their brand new documentary, "Shadows in the Desert: High Strangeness in the Borrego Triangle"!
We also have a special report on "Late Night With the Devil", courtesy of Kinell, battle rapper, host of Kinell's Sinister Cinema, and one of the few people nerdier about horror movies than us, who attended the London screening in our stead. Finally, Brennan also gets nerdy about the futuristic Czech neo-noir, "Restore Point".

You're home alone at night and, suddenly, fear grips you. You write it off as anxiety, until your partner calls and tells you they feel it too. Is it all internal? Or a nudge from an unseen world, letting you know danger is nearby? In this episode we explore stories where run-of-the-mill anxiety turns out to be a warning, and how the people experiencing those warnings reacted.

In this episode, we tackle a phenomenon which has been popping up ever since our "High Strangeness in Chicago" show - oily black mists that disappear without a trace. We managed to find stories of the black mist apparently causing sleep paralysis, emerging from walls, turning into skulls, and in one case, doing some things that would have been right at home on our "Ghost With Two Backs" episode
Also in this episode: Paul is a literal riot and Bren makes a four-legged friend

On this show we manage to not only cover some listener mail, teenage angst, and missing people, but we sit down with one of our favorite artists, Brett Manning. Brett talks to us about channelling the Fae through her art, finding an audience through persistence, our mutual inability to grasp TikTok, and the work of David Lynch.
We also talk about her wonderful shop in downtown Logansport, Indiana, "The Lantern"

On this episode we begin a trilogy of shows highlighting stories of haunting in the UK, as gathered by legendary British researcher Ruth Roper Wylde. The stories in these episodes are drawn, with permission, from Ruth's spectacular "These Haunted Times" series, which are available on Amazon via Kindle Unlimited, and are must-reads for any fan of the paranormal.
Also on this episode: a haunting in Poundstretcher, the practicality of machetes, and a defence of *checks notes* Taylor Swift?

There's no better way to spend the holidays than with friends, and so on this episode, we overcome some technical difficulties (Paul literally has to phone it in) and spend almost 2 hours hanging out with our favorite third Ghost Story Guy, Kev Eustace, host of "The Dark Paranormal", "The Deadly Countdown", and "We Need to Talk About Ghosts".
No stories this time around, just 3 friends reflecting back on 2023

On this episode we're joined by our good friend and Canadian podcaster extraordinaire Mike Browne (Dark Poutine, Supernatural Circumstances) to tell stories of the many and varied terrors found in parking lots. Get ready for phantom flames, disembodied voices who know your deepest fears, and a story of what Paul is certain is some kind of abduction, and that's just for starters!

On this episode of the mail show, we field questions about Danish folklore, pet reincarnation, and, yes, a prison for bears. Ok, that one isn't a question but when bear penitentiary comes up in a show, it has to go in the shownotes.

I'm in western Australia just south of Perth a city called mandurah. We are having a heat wave tomorrow it's 39°c and our kids 2nd day of the year at school. #ghoststoryguys
How awesome 3 of my favourite podcasters together.
Brennan the first time I went to Ikea in Sydney Australia I got lost and was getting into a state.. I think being in Ikea could be an excuse for not attending weddings funerals and any other major events..
the music and sound was nice not including the clip clops. clip clops. clip clops. clip clops why you angry clops clip clip clops why's yer eye twitchclops ingclip clip clops clip clops
the acting is not great, but made more apparent contrasting with the narration and sound. it's like whiplash from listening CRINGE immersing CRINGE ahhh narrator AHHHHhHh AH AHAH AH AC TOR
the narrator from nosleep who does so many (too many) audible narrations does caricature accents for all characters. Mrs doubtfires every female character, kids have to "Billy" mouth breathe and toddler lisp age 2 to 12. at 13 they get doubtfired or rooney-ed or sinister Chad or rooney-ed ( I stopped audible after witnessing barthelme short stories being slaughtered by these voices.
check it out!
great show! when Jim is on a fellow podcasters it's so fun and creepy!
I really enjoyed listening to the three of you chatting and exploring issues, great show.
You can't make friends as an adult. it's impossible. everyone has their friends from youth and college, etc. and as an adult you can't find anyone who wants anymore friends. those who are friendly aren't interested in anything deeper. they aren't going to be there for you in good times and bad. friendship is overrated. you don't need it.
Isn't the baby crying noise just a bobcat or cougar or something like that?
or maybe, the father and previous partner had a miscarriage and that spirit didn't want to be forgotten
"Bigfoot is an alien..." "NO HE'S NOT!!!!" 😂😂 Aww, poor Paul xx
"There's money to be made from this! Let's hope Baggins isn't listening!" Me..... "Why would Bilbo want a ghost podcast...?" 🤔 Ahhhh... Bagans.... 😂😂♥️ xxxxx
just added Evil Eye to my watch list!
loved this episode 😄
not really as good with out Ian.
It's not the same without ian anymore. This used to be one of my favourite podcast to listen to. Too bad you guys couldn't figure out the differences.
oh no! where's Ian? I checked patreon and can't get any info! anyone help a girl out?
eight minutes in I gave up. I'm not listening to the rest. not a ghost story. fictional anti-gun story.
