In this episode we speak with Brett of Couchlock which is a Distribution Company located in Monterey County. Brett was actually the second person that I ever had on the podcast 3 years ago. We talked with him about what it's been like running his business for the past three years, we get into the details of scaling a cannabis business in the California market and what works or what doesn't work. Brett always provides really interesting analogies that compare the current state of cannabis industry to other industries throughout hundreds of thousands of years. We also talked about the spectrum of in toxicity that cannabis is on and how it falls probably somewhere between alcohol and caffeine and should be regulated as such.

July 13, 2018 - California’s three state cannabis licensing authorities have announced the publication of proposed (permanent) regulations. We sit down to discuss the changes that these regulations would bring. We cover all the major changes amongst the Bureau of Cannabis Control, the Manufactured Cannabis Safety Branch and CalCannabis.

Monterey County Farm Bureau has come publicly stated they feel cannabis should be treated as any other agriculture crop, which almost every cannabis advocate agrees with. We discuss the parallels between normal AG and cannabis with Norm and also talk about how cannabis will potentially change our local agricultural scene for the better. This episode came at a perfect time because the same day we sat down to speak with Norm, the Forbes AG Tech Summit was talking place just one block away from us and the Monterey County AG Commissioner released the crop report for the year, just one day prior.

We dived right into this podcast and after a couple of episodes we realized that some people are probably wondering who we are besides some guys hosting a cannabis podcast show.  In episode 3 we spend some time discussing who we are and how we got here. We also discuss the history of Monterey County cannabis and how it went from "come on vacation, leave on probation" to one of the cannabis mecca's in the State.
In this episode Ryan and Joey sit down with B-Dizzle who is a cannabis entrepreneur that has been involved with the industry one way or another for over 20 years. He is extremely intelligent, well-spoken and has a plethora of knowledge when it comes to the 'reality' of how the cannabis industry works.  B-Dizzle gives tons of great analogies in this episode that will really help you understand the truths behind how this ought to be regulated. He dives into his beliefs as to why it should be regulated, the goals behind regulating it and how the taxation should be looked at. We also get into the details of the service companies in the cannabis industry, essentially the middlemen and what an important role they play in the big picture.
