The Roman Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg was established on June 17, 1968. Situated on Florida's west coast, along the Gulf of Mexico, the diocese covers 3,177 square miles in five counties: Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus. The principal cities of the diocese are St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Clearwater. The diocese serves a total population of approximately 2,900,000, of whom over 425,000 are Catholic.

The event featured four dynamic speakers: Curtis Martin of FOCUS, Mother Olga Yaqob founder of the Daughters of Mary of Nazareth, Father Tim Anastos, Archdiocese of Chicago, and Dr. John Bergsma of St Paul Center. Also, Bishop Gregory Parkes celebrated Mass for all participants.
Mother Olga is the founder of the Daughters of Mary of Nazareth, a religious community that is focused on living a daily intimacy with Jesus.  Having lived through four wars in the Middle East, she exemplifies how to have love for our neighbors.
