It was while researching OBEs for Dr. Jeffrey Long at NDERF that the show's guest became fascinated with the underlying spiritual knowledge within NDE reports. Lynn ended up studying some 2500 death experiences before writing her new book, "Beyond NDEs: The Next Step in Near-Death Experience Research." The spiritual implications of NDEs are the subject of our show.
The first: a near-death-like experience from an angry, suicidal Australian man who was lifted out of his depression and drained of his vengeance by a gift of light from Jesus. The second: an NDE, three shared-body and a shared-death experience between two sisters-- certainly the most detailed, most gentle SDE I've encountered.
Our show's guest was starving, freezing, and terrified before and after her distressing and illuminating near-death experiences in the Arapahoe National Forest, where she was demon-led and lost for eleven days. She felt her life was over...until the gentle nuzzle and lick of a Golden Retriever woke her. Endurance is her true story.
This week we continue with Pat Wheeler's accounts of the kinds of guiding messages many of us receive, but often ignore at our peril. For many years Patricia Wheeler shared her STEs with her third grade parochial school students, who found them far more fascinating than their traditional religious schooling. Her book, Beyond the Natural, should encourage readers to reflect on times when interlinking circumstances seem more like messages than coincidences.
For many years our guest, Patricia Wheeler, teacher and artist, shared her STEs with her third grade parochial school students, who found them far more fascinating than their traditional religious schooling. Her book, "Beyond the Natural", should encourage readers to reflect on their own family stories, for times when interlinking circumstances seem like more than coincidence.
Returning from an NDE, we yearn to continue our conversation with the Other Side. Usually we turn to prayer, either traditional prayers or as simple conversations with God. And spoken prayer does reach the Other Side. Some NDErs have actually seen prayers from family and friends rising around them, like vibrating lights of love.
Host Lee Witting's doubts about free will on Earth are countered by guest Irene Kendig, whose messages concerning the free-will creativity available to us on the Other Side makes it potentially available to us here, as well. Irene Kendig is author of Conversations with Jerry and Other People I Thought Were Dead, the recipient of seven national and international awards
First, a car crash sends an NDEr into the light, to a life review and sixty years of learning. Second, a woman dying from disease dissipates like mist into a reality of consciousness and love not bound by time. Third, a man pinned in a tractor rollover sees deceased family and a tube portal to a heaven of love.
When Jason Dennen skydived into a catastrophic accident, his eight-day coma invoked hundreds of nightmares of guilt, shame, and the temptation to give up, from which he couldn't awake. These dreams also modeled stories of travel through the Bardo, but they ultimately served to strengthen his resolve to heal his body and his life.
Presidents Day reflections on George Washington's bulletproof battle of 1755, the vital part United plays in the as-above, so-below name of the United States, and the malignant narcissism of dictatorship.
Following Robin Landsong's kidnapping and abuse at age eight, her years of recovery from PTSD were guided by her NDEs in Zimbabwe (listen to our show of Jan. 22, 2024, "A Kidnapped Child's NDE") and, as today's show reports, further NDEs as a teen. Today, Robin helps others transform destructive energy to creative energy.
The trauma resulting from child abuse can crush a child's faith, as well. Guest Gloria Oelman tells how she, with persistent clues from the Other Side, overcame her fear-induced atheism and regained her belief.
In 1983, anthropologist Dorothy Ayers Counts compared a few NDEs, dreams, and visions of Kaliai interviewees with notions of NDEs and OBEs in the West, and discussed the surprising cultural differences in IANDS' Journal of Near-Death Studies. Host Lee Witting reads selections from that remarkable article.
When Robin Aisha Landsong was eight she was abducted to Zimbabwe and there abandoned. Shot by a gunman, she experienced a remarkable NDE before being saved and cared for by the people of a small tribal village. Robin went back to Zimbabwe 40 years later to rediscover the people and the land.
Host Lee Witting tells the story of how Dr. King's commitment to love may have resulted from an NDE, and how King's assassination in 1968 impacted hopes for change. Still, our understanding of love as the only true answer has been deepened by NDEs since the--and now must be employed--as we face the racism of 2024.
This stunning NDE, described by Yvonne Sneeden more that ten years ago for NDE Radio listeners, was discovered in our YouTube archives and recommended highly by a listener who called it, "One of the most beautiful and powerful NDEs I have ever heard. Beautiful and so detailed," and gave it three hearts.
Some evangelical churches have become antichrist-supporters, conspiring this year to bring on the End Times. God's Love, the basis for true healing as revealed by Jesus' sacrifice and NDEs, can expose such narcissist plotting and bring the world back from the brink in 2024.
Shortly after the publication of “A Christmas Carol” in 1843, author Charles Dickens wrote to a friend about an STE vision of Mary he had “dreamed." His book went on to overwhelming success, as it reaffirmed Jesus’ teachings of love and charity as the real meaning of Christmas. The story of Scrooge is reenacted each year on stage, TV, and film for millions of fans, even to this day
With the announcement that science is merging human brain cells into computers, Lee interviews today's Artificial Intelligence to set a baseline of answers for the cyborg Frankensteins around the corner.
A girl in meditation visits heaven, a dying man is called back by his wife, a young boy is repaired before dying by a being of fire, and a man is saved from suicide by a living-room life review from God--four examples of Near-Death-Like Experiences from IANDS.

I am sceptical about the theology, as it does contradict what christ says about Satan and the coming revelation to rectify the fall. So as a side comment who planted or gave this experience to vinney which other experiences have also seen. is the deceiver also effecting our nde experience.

what is it with him saying Lee's name over and over and over. He sounds so rehearsed. I believe him, but it's off-putting.

I have heard of experiencers who want so desperately to go back to the light that they thought about killing their body in an attempt to get back home. It also has to do with how confused one feels about the event, one's purpose & dealing with grief over feeling seperated from the love & light of God. After an NDE, if one compares the experience of God & that "love light" to existence here on Earth, then Earth can feel hellish. That's why NDE & STE experiencers are a crucial support & resource system for each other, especially helping new experiencers!!! All the efforts by experiencers & disseminating experiencer's stories etc... is incredibly import & beneficial for all human's on the planet. Thank you all for sharing!

If one can overcome the heartbreak & spiritual desolation one can feel upon "separating from the light" as with NDE, STE etc... experiences, eventually the wonderful gifts born from such experiences can come to fruition into this world. Other experiencers/IANDS is so helpful!

Once the nuclear genie was out of the bottle it seems inevitable that it will bring about humanity's eventual demise unless there is special intervention by those on the otherside in heavenly realms (combined with our own prayers, meditations & positive/loving actions) to protect us from persons who would use such weapons.

What a waste, would rather have listened to a bunch of drunks tell about Bigfoot encounters. I don't buy the story about the friend whatsoever- no psych eval due to stigma re: spouse's place of employment?? Something's not right with this picture at all. If anyone was possessed my bet is on the husband. The disturbing reality is that a situation of this severity should've been reported, and honestly I think there was criminal neglect/abuse involved on the part of that husband.
