DAY Ministry shares with the world the fruit of work by Rev. Dr. D. A. Yuan. He is an American pastor, author and conference speaker who was raised up in China and trained as a physicist before his conversion to evangelical Christianity. Once knowing Christ, he became fascinated by the Bible and everything it relates to. He sought for biblical truth as the revelation from God, which should and can be harmonized to the truths in other branches of knowledge, such as philosophy, science, and history. He has extended interests in chronology, archaeology, astronomy, prophecy; systematic and historical theology; ethics, law, economics, politics; arts and music. But mostly, he loves to do expository teaching from the Scripture. Here is a collection of the insights he received from the LORD.

Reverse
Men must rest from both work and enjoyment. The Old Testament gives a chain of Sabbaths, teaching that rest must be regular and pointing to an ultimate rest. Christians already have the ultimate rest in Christ; we only need to have a regular life, though freed from the sabbatical laws.

Citizens are members of a city or kingdom. Standards of good citizenship vary: the prevalent one in America is from Frank Capra’s ͞It’s a Wonderful Life.͟ In the Bible, there are two types of Kingdom of 4 God (physical and spiritual), with two dimension of citizen life: Vertical (Theological) and Horizontal (Political-Economic-Social). Strive to be good citizens in all these senses.

Service in the Bible covers many relationships: vassal to suzerain, slave to master, human to God, subject to king, descendants to ancestors, priest to God, deacon to church etc. The most amazing service is Christ to the church in an Inverted Kingdom. How should we serve?

Membership is a deep concept that originated from the ultimate being: the triune God. Membership is present in Old Testament Israel, the Universal Church, and the local church. Only by searching for the root can we find the right understanding and application.
Jesus is a disciple of God the Father, and He is a discipler of his followers. Each of us need to become both. We can learn how to do it well from the biblical examples of Jesus, Barnabas, Paul and Timothy.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and His followers must bear witness for the truth. They can do it well if they know what they believe and why they believe, and if they are filled by the Holy Spirit, as well the love for other souls.
Dog Theology is ͞I exist to serve God͟; and Cat Theology is ͞God exists to serve me.͟ There will be both cats and dogs in heaven. Which one is you?
The Psalmist represents the Word of God by eight Hebrew words translated as Law, Testimony, Precept, Command, Ordinance, Statute, Word, and Promise. He relates how the Word is eternal, true, righteous, good and wonderful; how it saves, guides, disciplines, and heals; and how one learn to love the Word by meditation, obedience, loving others, seeking for understanding, abhorring evil and falsehood, and finally perseverance. Praise the LORD and preach His Word!

Giving is both a continuation and an elevation compared to Tithing. Giving is an expression of a changed inner self, fulling in the image of Christ. Most churches do not teach the doctrine of tithing. Unfortunately, the good self-image is at the cost of believers’ spiritual life. The Old Testament teaching on tithing revealed its origin, meaning, and its position in covenantal relationships. Many of its spiritual elements are relevant to Christians today. The early church is a great example for great spiritual revival and corporate fellowship. Asking for physical provisions is a rightful part of our prayers, but it should not be the major part or the ultimate part. The Lord’s Prayer is actually the prayer that the Lord taught the apostles to pray. It has two halves, the first being about God, and the second about ourselves.
