In this review of the Year of the Midlife Woman I have looked the progress we have made towards overturning abuse and discrimination against women in the UK as an example of a country that thinks itself progressive.  The main hope is the growing public awareness of the previously unacknowledged levels of abuse, discrimination, and neglect of the interests of women and hopefully a growing resolve that it should no longer be tolerated.   When we look east, we see a different story where the position of women in some countries is going backwards.  I believe that the cause in both cases is the same and it stems from fear among men about the challenge to their automatic right to superiority and power they feel from the advance of women.   I know that is an ugly description of the situation, but I believe there is plenty of evidence to support it. Nevertheless I think there are grounds for hope as well.  Listen to my Podcast and judge for yourself. Are you ready to unleash your full potential and overcome the obstacles that hold you back?Come and join the Midlife Butterfly Club for valuable videos, articles, and podcasts to inform, guide and inspire women in middle life. Welcome to the 'Six Steps to Take Back Control of Your Life' podcast by Midlife Butterfly Club, hosted by Vix Munro. In this episode, we dive deep into the topic of 'Money and Wealth' for midlife women. The first question we ask is, 'What barriers do midlife women face when it comes to money?'The quick answer to that question lies in the fact that unless midlife women were fortunate enough to have parents who were financially savvy, or encountered a rare mentor along the way (unlikely to be a schoolteacher), it's improbable that they had solid financial principles instilled in them early in life. Join us as we explore the challenges and opportunities for midlife women in the realm of money and wealth, and discover strategies for taking control of your financial future. Are you ready to unleash your full potential and overcome the obstacles that hold you back?Come and join the Midlife Butterfly Club for valuable videos, articles, and podcasts to inform, guide and inspire women in middle life. We have launched our 'Six Steps To Take Back Control of Your Life' program, and our first episode is 'Health and Wellness for Midlife Women' with our guest expert Johann Callaghan. In today's world, our healthcare systems are primarily designed to get us back to work when we're ill – a crucial part of keeping the economic wheels turning. However, when it comes to dealing with chronic, long-term health issues, the story is different. The state health systems aim to have us back in the workforce, but feeling truly well is a more complex challenge, particularly when going through life stages like perimenopause. True wellness is about more than just being 'not ill'; it's a continuous journey of self-care and improvement. With the right approach to self-care, we can aspire to not only live long but to thrive well into our 90s or even beyond 100, a prospect that our mothers and grandmothers couldn't have imagined. Are you ready to unleash your full potential and overcome the obstacles that hold you back?Come and join the Midlife Butterfly Club for valuable videos, articles, and podcasts to inform, guide and inspire women in middle life.
