Plane Shift

Following the difficulties on Theros, the Planeswalkers retreated from the plane of gods over men for the enclosed confines of Nemock's sanctum.  With the capture of an unignited planeswalker's still-beating spark Nemock's plans to liberate his people can begin to move forward and he wants to enlist the planeswalkers to construct a great arc to carry his people away from the disaster of Phyrexia and to a new home. On the Grecian world of Theros, Llewellyn has lost himself to the overwhelming effects of the sword of war and peace he stole from the Orzhov vault, and this Dionysus who came in the name of a god has revealed himself to be an enemy in service of that god's desires.  On top of that, Cecilia's new toy has been smashed to pieces by aggressive minotaurs.  These are dire straits indeed. During episode 13, Irshyaa decided to aim their scorching ray a little south of the border, blasting a Minotaur apart at the hips.  And then we all decided to have way too much fun with that sillyness.   We enjoyed this segment of play so much that it was seperated off into the second clip highlight. 

After stopping an overzealous merfolk ecoterrorist from causing further chaos, but failing to stop her from calling in a divine tsunami, the planeswalkers had retreated into the mansion tapestry to escape the rushing waters, and took the captive merfolk inside with them.  The question now is, what to do next?  And, has anyone else noticed their abilities that are beyond the scope of Theros? Starting with episode 11, we're going to be making some changes to Plane Shift.  We'll be shifting to a bi-weekly release schedule.  The intro sequence will start to include clips of previous episodes, the mid-point break will have some extra content and recommendations for other things to check out.  Keep an eye out in the future for backstory "side quests" where each player will be organizing play for the events that preceded their spark igniting, each using different game systems.  We've also been talking about starting work on the development of other productions within this podcasting family, maybe even the beginnings of a podcasting network.   In the meantime, here is a summary recap on what you might have missed over the last 10 episodes of Plane Shift.

During episode 4, Nymhaea used Speak with Animals to question the bats the Orzhov guild used to guard the tunnels to their treasure.  And that attempt went completely off the rails as she discovered an elaborate society of Hebrew Chiroptera Mafiosa.   We enjoyed this portion of our play session so much, and hoped you would as well, that we decided to share it by itself if anyone wanted to relive this moment of us completely failing to play a grounded game of Dungeons and Dragons.

Continuing with the Ravnica arc, the planeswalkers are investigating the Orzhov and the security measures they have in place to protect their obscene wealth.  Cecilia decides that she's going to look over the proselytizing priests, Nymphaea is going into the bat caves, Llewellyn takes to the rooftops, and Irshyaa is looking for what chaos they can cause for a distraction.
