It says 195, but it's actually our 200th episode. And our last one. We answer your questions and wave goodbye. Thank you for all the love and support throughout the years. Party on!
The final installment of End Times-Friend Times and we get personal with our friends from Jukebox Zeroes. We discuss two albums that influenced us, whether that be musically, aesthetically, or inspirationally. The range is big; from new wave to classic rock to electronica to mall goth to indie. Lilz and Pat add extra depth given the fact that they are actual musicians and can speak to how their albums influenced their sounds. Jokes and stories are told and we all get to know each other a bit more.

We're going through the recent release of Metallica's Blacklist with our dear friend Heather from Make It Stop! An album of way too many covers, we pick the ones we liked the best or really needed to rant about. Throughout this journey we discovered some drunk dad karaoke night, a big box of Nilla wafers, the precipice of insufferability, and that fact that nothing really does matter. We also picked out the artists that get a blue ribbon for understanding the assignment. Wild times had by all.

Some may see the last few decades of Bowie's life as all over the place, and they wouldn't be wrong. After getting himself out of his cocaine-induced psychosis, he took a look at his life and decided to try whatever he wanted, creatively. By the end of his life, David Bowie would end up with a wonderful family and amazing legacy- one that has left him as one of the most unique and mysterious artists to have ever graced this planet.

In this second installment, we cover Rush when they get real popular. Over several albums they put out bangers that the world could not deny and they saw themselves skyrocket to fame. While Neil braced himself for that impact, Alex and Geddy were thrown off by the throngs of loving fans. And despite the nay-sayers (and many did say nay), the boys refused to back away from their creative desire to write 20 minute opuses. In fact, they tripled down.

He was a true work horse, starting and joining many a band throughout his lifetime. Never one to compromise, Dio stood true to his creative juices and came up with some of the best fantasy metal the world has ever heard. And even though she holds these high accolades, Sister Rosetta Tharpe still rarely gets her due. This woman was a work horse, dedicated to the music she was crafting. She started off moving the congregation at church, but would soon bring that to the stage. The people fell in love with her energetic but sweet performance style and many children saw her play guitar and wanted those skills. This is the story of the birth of rock n' roll.

This episode is not for the Misfits fans out there. We take a long time to look at the story of this cult classic horror/punk band and we didn't come up with a lot of proud moments for these dudes. For what it's worth, this band was only active for about 6 years and didn't even gain popularity until after their breakup. And yet, they are still talked about today. Though usually for the wrong reasons. Listeners may agree with our sentiments or find we're totally out of bounds, but either way, the tale is an adventure.
