Explaining The Silence

For almost 2 years we've talked Premier League and Champions League soccer and have had an absolute blast! Unfortunately, now is the time to venture onto a new topic due to work, I haven't been able to watch nearly enough Premier League and Champions League soccer this season to be able to discuss the different topics and games, which leads me to the tough choice to stop this podcast. I will however be rebranding the podcast to discuss the Philadelphia Union and hopefully non-league teams once a week! Thank you to everyone who has listened to the podcast, thank you for all the different guest we've had on, your support means so much to me and the podcast. But I look forward to podcasting about the Union and non-league teams at the start of December/January! With that said, COME ON YOU BOYS IN BLUE!   Over the next couple weeks I'll be deleting MOST of the podcast episodes. So, if you guys want to check out some of our older stuff, do it before they are gone!    Thanks for all the support everyone!          -Todd Lewis Social Media: Twitter:  @FreeKickPod @ItsAToddLife
Like we said last week, the Premier League is back baby! Well instead of talking about all 10 games like we normally do, Todd discusses 5/10 due to MLS playoffs and other commitments. But those 5 games were probably the best 5 from week 9 in the Premier League anyways. Whether it be because of the VAR controversy, the numerous huge saves we saw from goalkeepers, or some really nice team goals, Todd discussed those moments. Also discussed were the first round of playoffs for the 2019 MLS playoffs, including the Philadelphia Union securing their first ever playoff win! And finally, what would a Premier League episode be without including the Blunder of The Week!  *Sorry for pronouncing West HAM* as "Weston"*   Premier League Week 9: [2:24-22:05] Everton v West Ham: [2:24-6:45] Spurs v Watford: [6:46-11:32] Aston Villa v Brighton: [11:33-15:34] Leicester v Burnley: [15:35-18:59] Crystal Palace v Man City: [19:00-22:05] MLS First Round Playoff Recap: [24:27-37:52] Philadelphia Union v New York Red Bulls: [28:32-37:52] MLS Playoffs Round Two Predictions: [37:53-44:23] Blunder of The Week: [44:24-46:00]   Social Media: Twitter: @FreeKickPod Instagram: @FreeKickPod Facebook: @FreeKickPod
With another international break passing that means we can get back to recording two (2) episodes a week! (We're sorry we're slackers) What a tough week its been if you're a USMNT fan huh? Its only right to give our thoughts in regards to the USMNT v Canada game, and what Todd wants to see moving forward from the federation. As you know, we've been saying for about a month "We'll give our thoughts on the new Third UEFA club competition" well wait no longer cause Todd finally gives his thoughts! Also discussed was the news in regards to David De Gea and Paul Pogba both injured and set to miss the Liverpool match this Sunday for Manchester United. Sticking with United, according to Simon Stone, United's Shirt sponsor Chevy has no plans to renew their deal to sponsor United. Briefly discussed are the rumors swirling around that Spurs have discussed with Jose Mourinho about replacing Pochettino, Everton's Jean- Phillippe Gbamin suffers a setback to his thigh injury, and Inter's Alexis Sanchez injured with Chile, out until January. The final topic discussed is Philadelphia Union v New York Red Bulls and the rest of MLS playoffs!   USMNT v Canada: [3:30-7:37] Europa Conference League: [7:38-16:00] News: [16:01-23:24] Paul Pogba and David De Gea OUT v Liverpool: [16:00-17:16] Chevy say bye bye to Man United: [17:17-19:34] Jean-Philippe Gbamin setback: [19:35-20:39] Mourinho meeting with Spurs: [20:40-22:47] Alexis Sanchez out till January: [22:48-23:24] Philadelphia Union v NYRB: [23:25-32:04] MLS playoffs: [32:05-34:30]    Social Media:  Twitter: @FreeKickPod Instagram: @FreeKickPod Facebook: @FreeKickPod
