Description

What's in store for the month ahead? Which Sun Signs are up? Which are, well, coasting? What dates should you take a risk and when should you stay at home? And why was last month so … last monthish?

We are Christina Rodenbeck, The Oxford Astrologer (https://www.oxfordastrologer.com) and Sally Kirkman of Sally Kirkman Astrology (http://www.sallykirkman.com): two well-known astrologers chatting over a cup of strong coffee or weak tea about our favourite topic – the language of the stars.

Once a month, we take astrology by the scruff of its neck and give it a good shake out. Our starting point is the star sign of the month and the major astrological events coming up. As the conversation develops, we connect the astrology to what’s going on in the world using celebrity examples. Most importantly, we highlight the significance of the month’s celestial manoeuvrings so you can find out what it means for you. We’d love you to listen in. Make yourself a cuppa and join us.

Taurus' season is here but this year, it's not the usual slow wander through nature's bounty - thanks to Uranus & Saturn. Christina & Sally take you deep into the symbolism of the Scorpio Full Moon on April 27th and what it means for you. That Saturn-Uranus square is super lively during this time - one of the major themes of 2021. An unusual disagreement between the friends sums up the challenges of this clash and how it's playing out in the world.Leap forward to May and there's a theme of fresh starts during the brilliant New Moon in Taurus on May 11th. Most importantly, the biggest & best planet Jupiter finally moves away from Saturn's clutches and swims into Pisces' on May 13th. Listen in to find out what it will bring for you and each of the star signs during the subsequent two months. Please do let other people know about our podcast so we can share the astrology talk far and wide. You can find out more about us here:Sally at www.sallykirkman.comChristina at www.oxfordastrologer.comSupport the show Hosted on Acast. We're at the Equinox -- hooray! And finally, for the first time in 2021, we are getting some fiery energy when the Sun moves into Aries. It's the real beginning of the astrological year, zero hour, blast off...And although, it won't feel that blasty at first, things gradually heat up as the month progresses. You can find out more about us here:Sally at www.sallykirkman.comChristina at www.oxfordastrologer.comSupport the show Hosted on Acast. We move into Pisces season this month which is a welcome relief from all the fixed sign energy that's been dominating our lives. Pisces is one of the mutable star signs, bringing flexibility and change to the mix. By month's end, the four inner planets are back in flow.Mercury turning direct is a key factor early in the month that we discuss in-depth and a stunning New Moon is the highlight of March. The Sun & Moon align with Venus (love) & Neptune (romance) - it's influential, inspirational and an ideal time to embrace the best of Pisces. You can find out more about us here:Sally at www.sallykirkman.comChristina at www.oxfordastrologer.comSupport the show Hosted on Acast. Firstly, as we're entering Virgo season, apologies for getting the dates wrong for the Sun's move into Virgo on the podcast. The Sun moves into Virgo on August 22nd not August 20th, which was the date Mercury entered Virgo! I know all you Virgos out there will be expecting precision... This month, we talk about the long transit of Mars through Aries - scars, stings, doing & taking action. Mars turns retrograde on September 9th - listen in to find out what it means for you. Then, there's joyous Jupiter's change of direction on September 13th and a couple of earthy and rather wonderful lunations - the Full Moon on September 2nd and the New Moon on September 17th.Virgo is of course harvest season - maybe that's why I've been making fig & ginger chutney with a glut of figs from the tree in my garden!Grab yourself a glass of something nice and do join us :)For more about Sally go to sallykirkman.com.For more about Christina go to oxfordastrologer.comSupport the show Hosted on Acast. Still zooming back and forth from Sally's living room to Christina's shed.We talked about Leos, Uranian reinvention, James Corden --  and that scary/exciting Mars in Aries. Those August Moons are looking quite intriguing. This month Christina was also delighted to interview Hilary Spiteri, homeopath, astrologer and philosopher. That conversation is at the end of our usual podcast. They ended up talking about some HUGE ideas. The original impetus was to support the Queer Astrology Conference, which was online on July 10-12. Hilary  just participated in a roundtable. All their talks are available for the coming month.Support the show Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Phew! We have such big astrology coming up and we had a lot to talk to about in this Solstice special. It's not often that the Solstice comes along - when the Sun 'stands still' and is at its peak, only to be followed less than 10 hours later by a Solar Eclipse, blotting out the light of the Sun!Listen in to find out what this means for you and to hear about the rest of this month's super astrology. We talk about our favourite Cancerians too, as the Sun moves through the sign of the crab. Enjoy! For more about Sally go to sallykirkman.com.For more about Christina go to oxfordastrologer.comSupport the show Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
As the Sun moves into the sign of the twins, we talk Gemini, Venus retrograde and much more. How will the movement of the planets affect each of the signs? Naturally, we're both in lockdown still, so this was recorded over Zoom. For more about Sally go to sallykirkman.com.For more about Christina go to oxfordastrologer.comEnjoy!Support the show Hosted on Acast. This was our first podcast not together in the same room in over two years, for obvious reasons. We talk for longer as these are unique times - about the lockdown situation, the wider picture revealed by astrology and a lengthy look at the astrology in your month ahead.Taurus season makes us smile with its fertile & abundant delights. We debate the New Moon next to innovative, unpredictable Uranus, Venus turning retrograde in Gemini, the epic Nodes changing star signs and the shift from fixed to mutable. It's a complex month ahead but as always the astrology brings insight and a new perspective on our current situation. Stay well, stay sane, stay upbeat - until next time. You can sign up for more astrology here: Sally's Unmissable Weekly StarsChristina's Legendary Monthly HoroscopesSupport the show Hosted on Acast. As usual, we're looking at the month ahead, but in the circumstances, we talk a lot about the pandemic -- a lot. We're looking at the big astrology between March 20 and April 20 -- including Mars' conjunctions with Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn, plus Saturn's change of signs.Support the show Hosted on Acast.
