After taking a week off for the holiday, the boys are back with some more Track Cocaine. This weeks episode features some news/recap from the Canadian National Meet, news on the return of Mary Cain, and the continued hype over Shelby Houlihan. Trevor, Shay, and DB then interview track & field's biggest momma's boy Ben Flanagan from the University of Michigan. He talks about his most recent NCAA D1 national championship, tells some stories from his time at U of M, then explains why he loves Lil Peep.
Episode six of Track Cocaine features Shay and DB rotating times as co-hosts due to schedule differences. However, the trio does their thing as usual. Shay and Trevor recap the notable events from the weekend at USATF Outdoor Championships in Iowa including events like the 10,000m win by Lopez Lomong, the up and coming young sprinter in Noah Lyles, the return to the top by Matthew Centrowitz in the 1500m, Shelby Houlihan's new found dominance, and various other events. Trevor and DB then interview Woody Kincaid of the Bowerman Track Club. They ask what made him fall in love with the sport, why he chose to run for University of Portland, his summer training in Kenya, and what it's like running for BTC.
This week on Track Cocaine, the boys talk about the anti-doping bill presented to Congress and the Best Coach Award at the ESPYs (0:1:30). They then interview the most interesting runner in the world: Paul McMullen. Paul talks about his high school experience where he wanted to play football and then met his wife (0:6:55), running for Eastern Michigan University (0:15:15), the beginning parts of his pro career (0:19:11), running in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta (0:30:52), cutting off 2 toes in a lawnmower accident to only come back and run faster (0:32:29), breaking the Coast Guard mile and a half run record (0:43:43), his high speed car chase through Wyoming (0:47:44), and then gives some advice and tells the people what he is currently doing in life (1:01:37).
