On a throwback episode of Rap Edit, we looked back at Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter III, where he was in his career before the album and explained why it's a classic album ten years later. We also discussed the impact of Wayne's biggest records on the album and how he created the blueprint for today's up and coming rappers. After discussing the album, we looked at where he is currently in his career and the likelihood that he can drop another meaningful album with the Carter V.
Rap Edit looks at J.Cole's "KOD" album three months later. Does this album have the potential to be a classic? Is it J.Cole's best album? Also, we discuss what J.Cole has to do to unseat the two biggest rappers in front of him: Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
