Dr. Shane Miramontez, our district's Instructional Systems Specialist for autism, talks to us about the awesome program called C.I.P. (College Internship Program). This is a wonderful program that helps to prepare our students with autism for post secondary life and higher education. This is definitely a must hear for our secondary team!

The wonderful Dr. Ann Saffi-Biasetti is back with us to tackle the subject of Eating Disorders among adolescents.  Dr. Saffi-Biasetti is a somatic psychotherapist, yoga therapist, and the author of Befriending Your Body: A Self-Compassionate Approach to Freeing Yourself from Disordered Eating. She has a private practice in Saratoga Springs, New York.Dr. Saffi-Biasetti discusses pertinent information about eating disorders, common misconceptions and what School Counselors, School Psychologists and school personnel can do to be proactive and reactive when dealing with eating disorders and adolescents.  
Ms. Jessica Reddout is the Behavior Interventionist and PBIS Facilitator for Whittemore Park Middle School in Conway, South Carolina. Ms. Reddout gives excellent, first-hand knowledge about the implementation and execution of the PBIS program from a "boots on the ground" perspective.  She talks about the challenges and successes with implementing the program.  She names super resources and gives expert advice on how to make PBIS work in a school.  Take a listen as she explains how, under the direction of principal Mrs. Quintina Livingston, Whittemore Park Middle School is making great, positive gains with PBIS!
