Mike shares his journey to sobriety, bumps along the way, and how important support and community around him was to push through tough times. His story is a great reminder that through God and community all things are possible! 

Rob, who has worked at Light of Life for 21 years now, shares his experiences at Light of Life, along with his personal testimony of how he came to know Christ. Listen to hear an amazing story of how although we may have our own plans, God has an even greater plan. As Rob states in this episode, God has His plans, and because of that, "we [can look] at the future again, and it seems pretty bright." Hope is found in God's plan, and Rob's story is a great example of this. 

Listen to Episode 15 to hear Amber's story. Amber tells of her journey through addiction as a mother. Amber shares about her struggles, tough decisions, and hard experiences she endured due to addiction. Currently a client in our Women and Children's program, Amber also shares how she now has peace and healing because of God's grace and work in her life. 

Listen to Marcus, a program graduate who is currently utilizing our emergency shelter as he is dealing with housing transition. Although struggling with homelessness again, Marcus shares how he is not without hope this time. Having been in Light of Life's program before, Marcus knew he had a community of people to lean on in his time of transition. 

Melissa, who has been a part of our Women & Children's Program for a year now, shares her story of recovery. Hear about her journey of addiction, recovery through Sojourner's House and Light of Life Rescue Mission, and then how she recently experienced God's life-transforming power at the annual women's retreat. 

In this special Ash Wednesday edition of Hope Unveiled, listeners hear from women in our program who got to participate in a special, individual, Ash Wednesday ceremony with Pastor Leeann Younger at CityView Church. For many women this was their first Ash Wednesday and Easter season knowing Christ. Hear from Pastor Leeann, and why she does Ash Wednesday, along with three women after receiving ashes. 

Abdul shares his day to day here at Light of Life as the Housing and Employment Care Team Specialist, and how his own recovery experience impacts his work. 

Chris Saleone, the current Manager of Facilities at Light of Life, began his journey here as a client. Chris tells his story, and shares his moving testimony of addiction, incarceration, pain, and how God played a part in directing his path to bring Chris to the hope he has today. 

Hutch tells his amazing life story of ups and downs that brought him to Light of Life years ago, and how his transformation has led him to now working here at the mission. Listen to hear his story of addiction, loss, pain, homelessness, incarceration, and life transformation through Jesus Christ. 

Michelle Pace, an employee here at Light of Life, began her journey here as a client. She has used her experiences to pour into other women struggled for the past 20 years as a Case Manager. In this episode, you get to hear from Michelle about her journey, struggles and how she gets to show the grace and love of God to others every day.

Listen to hear exclusive footage of our annual Santa's Workshop event! Each year we partner with companies and volunteers to create a Santa's Workshop. This is a place where children in our program can come and "shop" for their parents and siblings. Kate Wadsworth was at the event, and we recorded her conversations with staff, volunteers, women, and children at this event. In this episode Deb, a current staff member at Light of Life, shares her journey that brought her to Light of Life as a client, that led to an internship here at the mission, then an employee. Deb's story exhibits courage, mercy, trust, suffering, trials and how God can truly work all things together for good, even if our life does not go as we planned it. Deb uses her life story now to impact women, children and families on a daily basis here in our programs as the Family Development Coordinator. We are so thankful for Deb and her story, and hope that you feel encouraged by her words. 

Kristi, a woman in our program and resident at Sister's Recovery House, shares her story of transformation. Dealing with addiction, homelessness and incarceration throughout the past 30 years, Kristi now celebrates 5 years sober from drugs, and 2 years from alcohol. Listen to hear more about her story of second chances, love and inspiration. 

In this episode of Hope Unveiled you get to hear a sneak peak into our annual client and staff Thanksgiving meal! Each year we gather as an entire organization, all programs, clients and staff, and share a delicious meal, listen to music and set aside time to share what we are thankful for. This episode is the recording of the time where clients and staff spoke about their stories and what they are grateful for.
