After a rough schedule of 3 games in 4 days (really 3.5 days if you consider the MLK Jr day game was a day game) the Hawks got a day off and are playing at home which could let them win a game against one of the West's best.
THE STREAK IS DEAD. The Hawks go into San Antonio and stun the Spurs on their homecourt. Some of the starters had not been born the last time the Hawks did that (and Nique was a Spur). Forrest discusses a frustrating Hawks loss to the Miami Heat. Despite being up by 6 with under a minute to go in the game the Hawks were unable to get a win in Miami. De'Andre Hunter played a good game on both sides of the ball - scoring 28 points including 5 threes - but big performances from Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Duncan Robinson (10 THREE POINTERS!), and Kendrick Nunn (36 points) powered the Heat to an overtime victory.
The Hawks showed off a new court and new jerseys but it was not enough against the reigning MVP. Forrest talks about Giannis' performance as well as the promising performances by De'Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish. He also talks about a rough 3rd quarter before looking at the Hawks Friday night game against the Detroit Pistons. Come join the Kettle!

The Hawks go into Denver and stun the Nuggets 125-121. Trae is ridiculous with 32 points, including 8 3 pointers, and 11 assists. Jabari continues his stellar play and a Hawks center steps up off the bench. Forrest talks about the Fledglings and what the Hawks should expect going into Phoenix.
Trae is amazing and Red Velvet get the Hawks to overtime, but it isn't enough for the team from Atlanta to get a win. What started as a slogfest turned into a very fun game. You can reach Forrest at KettleCast@gmail.com
