Description

We tell the unexpected stories of women and men living life on their terms, deviating from the memo called 'Life', challenging status quo and being amazing at it. The podcast series starts off with Yemi telling her own stories and mentoring listeners on ways in which they can create their own version of the memo.
We take conversations from the couch to the office and speak to women who chose career over children, men who struggle with balancing 'work' and 'family'. Daring to be vulnerable in the work place and having the audacity to dream BIG. We discuss a story I know all too well of the single parent working hard to provide for their family and chasing the dream.
This podcast is for the individual and the Coporate world, reminding you to Live Life on Your Terms.
Yemi starts the series with a brief introduction on her journey and drastic deviation from the memo when she fell pregnant and was homeless.

Can I be real with you? I'm not sure the city life is for me anymore. Over the past 2 years I have wanted to go off grid! Lisa gave me insight to what this means and what it could look like. Jess is an inspiration for those ready to explore a different way of living.
I haven't girl crushed this hard in ages! Speaking to Dr Kudzai was like Christmas coming early and Oprah inviting me into her garden all at once. The COVID pandemic has filled us with so much fear and mis-information. Dr Kudzai not only showed up with #blackexcellence, she came with compassion, shift in perspective, hope and a clear call to action. One of my favourite guests of 2021!
What the PMDD?

What the PMDD?

I had no idea what PMDD meant until I spoke to Adriana Tantau, a fearless woman who has been open and vulnerable talking about the condition called 'Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder' You want to listen to this if you identify as a woman and especially if you are a man. Knowing this changed my perspective and that my friend is what 'Transformation' is.
This was recorded over a year ago and it is more relevant than ever. A sensitive topic that was incredibly close to home. A conversation that more parents should be having especially during this difficult period. Sending all the love and light to those who are in need.
In this interview I sit down with the formidable Genevieve Boyle who is making waves in creating waves in her personal and professional life. Our most valuable resource, in this episode I ponder on my own the concept of time, what it means to us and how we use it. Join in on the conversation
In this episode I face one of my biggest fears around financial growth and talk about my money mindset with the amazing Monick Halm, who has grown an amazing real estate portfolio which was triggered from being fired whilst she was pregnant almost 13years ago. In every cloud, there is a silver lining, we have to be 'woke' enough to see it. With the current COVID19 climate, Monick gives me and you some soothing words on how to start building your real estate / property portfolio regardless of how much cash you have available. I loved all of this! enjoy !
So excited to invite Renee Zaia back, here she shares the brave move to leave her 20+ railway career to find her joy. We talk about my most passionate things from finding the things that light us up to asking the age old question 'what is my purpose'?

2020 on Fire

Sadly, parts of Australia have literally been on fire for the past couple of months, sending the world into deep reflective mode. Watching from the sidelines waiting for someone else to save us is probably one of the biggest forms of inaction and a dis-service to future generations. In this episode I talk and guide you through ways in which we can play an active role in creating the world we wish to see.
Deep Unconcious Bias

Deep Unconcious Bias

In this episode I get comfortable with being uncomfortable as I witness deep unconscious bias in one of my own businesses. I talk about how our intolerance for other experiences, belief systems and cultural upbringings justify our reasons for categorising people as 'wrong' or 'right'. This sadly leaves a divide in nations, prejudice and often racism.
Yes! you heard right. I am an advocate of all things women especially those who embark or dream of embarking in a typically male dominated industry.  However, to make the shift we want to see in the world i.e. equity, equality etc we must invite men to the conversation. Ensuring we operate from a place of love and in this podcast I equally invite men to 'empty their cup' and be open to the conversation.
In this episode I speak to Andrew Owen, a gentle yet powerful soul. We talk about his life living in a small town between Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. We discuss his navigation on creating his own memo and living life on purpose.

Blind Spots

'The question is not what you look at, but what you see' - Henry David Thoreau A lot of us, myself included have blind spots. Acknowledging this especially with our leaders is paramount to not just success of our goals/projects but sustainable success. In this episode I touch on what and how Blind Spots are formed in us as individuals and within organisations, which ultimately can impact our culture and drive if not acknowledged and managed. Enjoy and join in the conversation by leaving a review.
Fear is a real thing, especially in the world we live in where media sometimes goes rife on sharing messages in the most destructive way. Once we get comfortable with fear being a daily dialogue, we start to manage it better so it doesn't cripple or limit us. In this episode I share my journey of dancing with fear and how recent changes in my life have allowed me to face it head on! exploring the other side of it, which is endless possibilities!
The truth is that we all have a super power, otherwise known as the very thing that makes you stand out from the crowd. What's yours? If you don't know...….get to know! and use it.

The 'D' Word

2019-03-1720:15

In this episode Yemi talks about the 'D' word that haunted her for years! The thought and act of Divorce made her feel like she had sinned the biggest of all sins and punished herself for not following the memo. She shares how she has healed her wounds of which some were self imposed and in this soliloquy she hopes to get you on the journey of healing yours.
