Dodgers again fall behind early but Freddie Freeman found his stroke with an rbi single to tie the game,  Freeman has another clutch hit with a 2 rbi single to draw the Dodgers within 1 but that would be as close as the got as they were an anemic 1-8 with the bases loaded striking out 6 times.

Yamamoto was shaky out of the gate giving 4 runs over the first 3 innings. He did settle in and strike out 9. The Dodgers would rally to tie the game on a Chris Taylor 3 rbi single snapping a 0-30 streak. But the bullpen faltered down the stretch giving up 5 runs over the last 3 innings. Dodgers have dropped 6 of 8 after the 9-4 loss.

Tyler Glasnow had his first bad start as a Dodger, giving up eight hits and six runs to the Nationals. We found out after the game that he was sick so hopefully that's what the issue was. The top 5 hitters in the Dodgers line-up all had a hit Will Smith had 2 and Max Muncy hit a 2-run shot his 4th of the season. But the Pitching staff did not have such a great night walking 14 in all. James Paxton struggled to find the zone late in counts and walked 8 but left the game after 5 with no decision giving up 3 runs on 3 hits. 

After a 2+ hour rain delay Dodgers and Padres get things rolling Mookie Betts knocked in the first run of the game with one of his 3 hits he also had an RBI in the 3 run 6th. Shohei Ohtani's 8 game hitting streak came to an end but he did have a sac fly RBI. Gavin Stone got the win throwing 5 perfect innings finishing with 6 2/3 giving up 2 runs on 5 hits. The bottom of the lineup had 4 hits and 5 runs.

It was a home run derby at Dodger stadium. Manny Machado  hit one in the first inning to lead 2-0 Shohei Ohtani answered with his 4th in the bottom of the 1st. Max Muncy hit a solo shot in the 2nd, Mookie Betts hit his 6th with 2 aboard and Teoscar Hernandez added to his league leading RBI total to make it 7-3 in the 3rd. But they went 2-28 from there and the Padres rallied with 3 more dingers and squeak it out 8-7 in the 11th.

There was 37 pages of federal documents that essentially laid out and answered any questions someone may have over the situation. The Dodgers lost the final game of the series to the Twins but the big story of the day ended up being reports that Shohei Ohtani has been cleared by federal authorities of any wrongdoing in the case involving Ippei Mizuhara and gambling. TMZ reported that Ohtani has been cleared and that Mizuhara will be charged any day now, while the New York Times reported that Mizuhara is expected to plead guilty.
