It goes out live weekly on Rebel Rock Radio and Bulldogs radio but also as a Podcast so you can choose when you want to hear it. TSORR is not background music, it is a relationship. The show exists to introduce you to music you will like, play the music you want to hear, and give you some insight into the bands and the music. So, if Rock & Metal are part of your life, give The Story of Rock and Roll a listen. The Story of Rock and Roll Radio Show or TSORR covers a vast range of Rock, Metal, Punk & Blues. It showcases guitar based-music from around the world. You will get music from the mid 60's all the way through to albums released this week. With TSORR it is all about the music. If you love guitars and loud rock and roll this is the show for you. Each week it features many of the top rock and metal bands in the world. There is always a healthy selection of ACDC, Priest, Maiden, Metallica, Rush, Kiss, Queen, ZZ Top, Rammstein, Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, Dio, and all the bands that made Rock Music what it is today. The show also introduces you to many great bands that you may or may not have heard of. TSORR tends not to focus on the greatest rock hits of all time, it goes deeper and features tracks off classic albums that you won't hear elsewhere. TSORR is the place to pick up on something you like and then follow up and delve deeper into a band or song that struck a sweet chord with you. The show is always trying to bring you, in Bowie's words, that "One damn song that can make me break down and cry". A couple have people have asked if I will put up the TSORR Turbo edition which goes out every Friday from 18h00 - 19h00 on Bulldogs Radio. It is only 60 min and it is designed to bring on the weekend, there is very little chatter and it's loaded with Classic Rock and Metal. One of the most enjoyable Rock Reviews I have done. Also one of the most commented on. I really got deeply into what Sixx A.M. has done and listened to a lot of interviews and watched the documentary mentioned in the review. This was one of the most enjoyable Rock Reviews I have done. It was made in a hurry due to some work pressure and it is all the better for it. You could say I did Rush in a rush. This Rock review is on SA legend Piet Botha and his band Jack Hammer. Piet passed away on 2 June 2019 and he is loved and remembered by a legion of rock fans in SA and around the world. Some of the happiest times of my life were spent watching Jack Hammer and experiencing the magic of Piet Botha and his incredible songs. I was sad to hear of the passing of Dusty Hill on 29 July 2021. I was expecting a new album so the news that he had died in his sleep at the age of 72 came as a surprise. Here's a little bonus for frequent listeners of The Story of Rock and Roll. The Rock Review is a feature I present monthly on day time radio for Rebel Rock Radio. The RRR presenters take turns to pick an artist and then present a quick one-hour overview of that artist every week which means my turn comes round once a month. S7E17 went out live on Rebel Rock Radio at 19h00 on 25 April 2024. As always it was a mixed bag of new and old, heavy and not so heavy. Listeners rated it the most fun ever. Note that if you listen to TSORR on Google Podcasts they are shutting it down. You can find us on plenty of other sites if this happens. The TSORR website will always be able to help. This week's Twisted Twins featured tracks called ‘Heartbreaker’. As happened last week we turned it into a Twisted Triplets with tracks called ‘Heartbreaker’. Led Zeppelin, Motörhead, and Dirty Honey did the honours. Immortals this week came from Bon Jovi off the Keep The Faith album. Clocking in at 9:52 we listened to ‘Dry County’. The Diabolical Challenge looked at four bands beginning with the letter ‘Q’. The idea is that we have 4 albums, and you can only pick one.
