The book of Jeremiah holds amazing insights as the teachings of Jesus are in reference to them. This allows the Old Testament to still remain in relevance today. Although we do not hold to the Law like the Hebrews did in ancient times, it is through Jesus that the Law is still applied on the tablets of our hearts today.
We all do it. We all blame someone else for something we have done or for something that has gone wrong in our lives.  It's called blame shifting and blame shifting is what we do. You certainly must have shift the blame somewhere when you cried out to God ' I don't deserve this treatment!' and some of us have even gone so far to blame satan.  Satan takes the blame for things we are to take responsibility for. Listen to this commentary as scripture reveals just how responsible we really are.

When God speaks

When God speaks

2019-04-1651:25

Do you desire to hear God's voice? Do you desire to hear God's answers to direct you in your daily life? There is a way that God uses to get our attention and most of the time, we are not listening. Our minds are so focused on other things that we don't have time to hear Him, even at the most opportune time.  If you won't listen, God will use another way to get your attention but I guarantee you won't like it.
King Solomon was a wise man, and through his teachings we are shown how to stay on the straight and narrow. As God's children we all should take warning because the more we know about God's word, the higher the responsibility. King Solomon was responsible for the Israelite and yet, he let his wisdom lead him into irresponsibility that eventually would lead his heart and the heart of Israel astray.  Reading from Ecclesiastes 12 shares with us how we are to remember our youth. Remember how our parents nurtured us and took care of our needs. A parent has a high responsibility and just because Solomon was King, he was like a parent to those he ruled over. He was a teacher, and a friend. Yet his irresponsibility caused the famine and death of those he loved. Israel was supposed to be his beloved and he failed them by failing himself.
