Wanted to drop in and give a little more than 2200 characters about this. So here we are.But I've had this written on a post-it note next to my desk for years. It reminds me that i really can't do it all. And I'm not supposed to. As an entrepreneur, as a CEO, we often carry the weight of the world on our shoulders.I think we have glorified this whole hustle culture, and if you know me, you know that im all for showing up. I set high goals for myself, and then I do my best to sit back and just listen. Because whatever the big scary goal is.. 1 i didn't give it to myself and therefore 2, i cant accomplish it myself. My job is the showing up piece. It's doing what i feel called to do when i feel called to do it. It's taking the divinely inspired action every day - sometimes that divinely inspired action is rest, btw... But that's a topic for another day. But once I've done that, once I've taken inventory of what I'm called to do and then I do it... God kind of gets to take care of the rest. The issue is, we have a hard time doing that.If you're a high achiever you know what I mean. You're used to doing it all. You're used to being the strong one. You're used to not needing help. You built an entire identity around it and then created so many walls around yourself.. Such a fortress... That anytime you're put in a position where you actually need to lean in this concept of God filling in the gap, it feels like unwanted subjugation. Basically, we left God out in favor of our own power and might and get bent out of shape when God actually wants to show up for us.How do I know? Cuz I've had many a come Jesus moments about control issues i never thought I owned. Seriously, I don't feel like people who know me we would say I'm a control freak. I have high standards. I am clear on what i want. But i don't think i generally try to control the outcome. But I have learned that we all are in some capacity: Control freaks. We all feel like i need to do it, I have to do it, I should be doing it, I   I   I!The issue there is its doesn't leave much room for God to do what God does. Lots of room for you tho. It's an ego boost to know you did it all. And when it doesn't go as planned it also gives you a reason to blame and judge yourself. The truth is, statistically, it shouldn't make sense for me to be where I am - single parent home of an immigrant mom, black, woman... On paper, we aren't really batting 500 here. But God's grace filling in the gaps supersedes all of that. It's the stuff that shows up when it seems like everything I am doing is wrong and yet it works out anyway.God's grace is the element that takes it to the next level even when the work I put in (or didn't put in for that matter) is insufficient.God's grace is filling in the gaps is directional when you need it to be. Its visionary, ita inspiration, its motivation, its creativity, it's putting the right people in your path when you need it, it's you being in the right place at the right time unexpectedly, it is the gut feelings of intuition and instinct, its the extra boost of energy you need yo get you through it, its the rest when you need that, its God knowing what you need before you do because he knows where he is calling you to go, and he is always seeing a 40,000-foot view of it.Your ability to trust that and lean into that makes showing up so much better!Listen to the rest of the podcast for a quick journaling assignment that will help!Sending you all so much love today.Talk soon.Support the show
A client emailed me with a list of everything she wanted to put inside of a course she was creating and at the end of the email said... "Is this enough?"Of course, I had to hop on the phone with her to discuss this "is this enough?" energy because creating from that energy is just not the vibe! The truth is, you will believe your content, course, program, etc will be enough when you believe that YOU are enough! So let's talk about that. Worthiness Affirmation:I am worthy of the _______ I desire. (you fill in the blank, the business, the money, the love, the clients, whatever you like)If you like all this energy talk and want more, check out my Money Vibes Masterclass - it may just be the thing you need at this time! Did you know that 85% of people reach for their cellphones within 15 minutes of waking up? Are you one of those people? I wanna talk about morning routines. I know it's so easy to grab your phone and to start scrolling. You wanna see how much money you made overnight, who texted you, how many hearts you got on Instagram, and what the latest tea is in the world. I get it. A lot can happen in all those hours you've been asleep. But can I offer you a new way of waking up?See, you have 2x during the day that your awake brain is most susceptible to autosuggestion. The first 30 minutes of waking up is one of them (the other is right before you fall asleep). I call this the moments of magic and miracles! Any subconscious programming you do affect your brain during this time more than any other! During the day, when you're hustling and bustling your brain is in Beta (swipe to see). Coming out of sleep you are in this slowed down alpha brain wave state. Anything you tell yourself in these moments sticks! So, you see why I don't suggest reaching for the phone right away. If upon waking up you reach for your phone, scroll through social to see latest COVID news, election stats, racism updates... Your subconscious just adopted those and the hormones that go with it: stress, anxiety, fear, etc. And all those hormones flood your autonomic nervous system and you create a life that matches. Perception is reality. So if you're feeding your mind with perception of junk... Well, what kind of reality will you experience? Might I suggest NOT shocking your system with those things? Check the latest #podcast episide... I'm going to be breaking down my morning routine and talking about WHY this is one of the major indicators of success for #entrepreneursPS - download Mindset Mixtape Volume 1 www.mindsetmixtape.comSupport the show
72% of Entrepreneurs have some sort of struggle with a mental health issue.72%!!!!!!That statistic is pretty shocking. What's even more shocking, is all of the things that make you a "good" entrepreneur are also the things that make you prone to mental health things! What!!!???But we are not all doomed - I want you to know that. This information isn't to scare you. Its to inform you. I think its healthy to be aware!Which is why I will be sharing the 5 reasons why Entrepreneurs struggle with mental health issues For the FULL Hour long+ training you can find it FREE with this link:https://www.facebook.com/groups/233423534533443/?ref=shareYou can be a solo entrepreneur without feeling like you're alone! I am here to help. I am here to walk with you. I experienced panic attacks in 2008/2009. There was one time my friends even had to call the paramedics! And before I know it, an ambulance is awaiting outside and the paramedics are rushing in.My body calmed down after a bit and I opted to go to urgent care instead of the ER.They checked my heart, my lungs, my life. I was perfectly healthy! On the outside... But what was happening...well that was something entirely different. I came home, went to my primary care physician and on Good Friday, I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Attacks. There is more to this story...and that's what I want to share in my upcoming training (deets are coming)But We HAVE TO talk about this! It is actually not uncommon to experience some level of anxiety as an entrepreneurI am watching people I love and people I admire struggle in this season with it.For some, it's been reoccurring. For others, it came almost out of the blue. But, the worse thing we can do is ignore it!I've talked about this publicly before, so it's not like some deep dark secret. But I also know that I haven't talked about it nearly enough.Partially because I am not a person who glories in the struggle. But it is a part of my story. It is a part of my journey. It is a part of why I am so passionate about the things I am today. And now seeing so many people online struggle with the thing I once struggled with, I just really feel led to talk, to share, to help.I want you to know, I hear you. I am with you. You are not alone.#mentalhealthawarenessSupport the show
This is a part two of the story of how I learned how to ride my bike...For that post you can CLICK HERE. But I talk about it in the show. Me learning to ride my bike was sort of me stepping into my own power and learning how to set intentions. What happened after that...well, let's just say I didn't ask for all that. But looking back on it, I can see how God has been doing this with me all along!Support the show

In this episode, I’m going to give you 15 reasons why your business may not be getting to the consistent cash flow and some tips on how to fix it. I’ve worked with hundreds of clients at this point, and over 10,000 people have taken my online courses and trainings so…I’ve seen a lot! When someone comes to me with a cash flow problem in their business its likely going to be one of these things. These are in no particular order: 1.          Your positioning is off. 2.          You’ve spent a lot of time perfecting the product, but not the sales and marketing strategy. 3.          You are showing up as a catchall, a jack-of-all-trades, but master of none.4.          You are doing the most! 5.          You don’t take your business seriously. 6.          You’re content is not good. 7.          You aren’t giving enough value up front. 8.          You don’t have a true path to profit.9.          Too focused on sales, not enough focus on relationship building10.      You are underestimating the process11.      You’re letting your doubts get the best of you12.      You are in the wrong environment 13.      You don’t have a good relationship with money14.      You are worried about the wrong thing.15.      Not investing in the right things. I dive into each of these in more detail in the show. Support the show
