What's Up with DIA?

What's Up with DIA?

2019-07-1643:28

DIA, as it's known, is one of the biggest airports in the world, with just under 53 square miles of developed airport space. That space has loads of restricted areas, underground tunnels and some weird, or even disturbing, art. It's all very suspicious to some people, who are convinced the airport is part of a plot by the Freemasons, or the Illuminati, or a colony of lizard people. Join Sam and Lynsie as they discuss the many conspiracy theories and odd facts surrounding the Denver International Airport. The Tremont House Hotel

The Tremont House Hotel

2019-06-0301:03:00

Galveston is consistently listed in the top ten most haunted cities in the nation, and with no wonder: the amount of catastrophe to hit the island is staggering. It’s the sight of a major battle during the Civil War, it’s been swallowed by over 20 fires in the late 1800’s, and has been devastated by several  hurricanes. It’s been known as “Pleasure Island”, “Sin City”, and “The Interdependent State of Galveston” when vice and the "Mob" ruled. This week Strange Neighbors, we’ll be kicking off summer and exploring the island life with the Tremont House Hotel, located in the heart of the Galveston Island historic district. *Graphic content warning time to skip to 24:45*Patreonhomeonthestrangepod@gmail.comTwitter: @homestrangepodSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/homeonthestrangepod)
No matter where you live in the world, there are a number of “Ghost Lights”, Spook Lights”, and “Mystery Lights” that occur. North Carolina has the famous Brown Mountain Lights, Missouri has the Hornet Spook Lights, and let’s not forget the famous ghost light of Bragg Road, right here in Texas. Today, my Strange neighbors, we’ll be discussing the well-documented Marfa Lights. So sit on the edge of your seat, keep your eyes on the sky, and beware the shadows… our exploration into The Strange is about to begin.WebsiteSubmit your paranormal stories to: Homeonthestrangepod@gmail.comPatreonSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/homeonthestrangepod)

El Muerto

El Muerto

2019-04-3042:451

On a cloudless, moonlit night deep in the plain deserts of South Texas rides a headless horseman. Astride a jet-black mustang, serape blowing in the wind behind him, he can be heard reveling in his latest bounty. Look closely and you can see the flames shooting from the nostrils of the mustang, as well as lightening arching from it’s hooves. Something is moving though, bouncing with each step of the horse. You peer closer, and realize… it’s a head tied to the saddle horn! The Legend of El Muerto is almost two-centuries old, and is still alive and well to this day. This particular legend has a rather interesting origin involving Bigfoot, the Texas Rangers, banditos, horrifying body mutilation, and the paranormal. Join Lynsie and Sam as they explore the history behind this mystery, and learn why you really shouldn’t make Bigfoot angry.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/homeonthestrangepod)
