Description

Welcome to my podcast ! This podcast is for anyone and everyone who embodies or wants to embody the energies of the Queen and King of Wands. Quiet and intense, the Queen and King of Wands are the fiery divine counterparts in the tarot deck. Passionate, powerful, spiritual, charismatic, generous, confident, grateful, friendly, outgoing, creative, ambitious, enthusiastic, optimistic and a leader, the Queen of Wands rules the fire element corresponding to the signs of Sagittarius, Aries and Leo in Western Astrology. The Queen of Wands was inspired by Shannon, an intuitive and empath, soul mentor. Like the Queen and King of Wands, we are all connected by energy and in our spiritual journeys, we contribute to each other’s path of evolution and development in some way shape or form. Psychiatrist and author, M. Scott Peck, best defined this connection through LOVE in The Road Less Traveled as “The will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing one’s own or another’s spiritual growth.” Hosted by DJ Nocturna, this show will focus on LOVE and inspiration, as it relates to the world of entertainment and passion. It is the dark creative passionate inspiration that Spanish poet, Federico Garcia Lorca called Duende. In his In Search of Duende, he said, “All that has black sounds has duende.. that mysterious force that everyone feels and no philosopher can explain.” We are motivated to pursue something we love, that yearning of the soul, whether it be in art, literature, music, dance, etc... If we are not passionate about it, then we wouldn’t pursue it. This podcast will feature music, interviews, the arts, fashion, theatre, film, food, wine, drinks and creative projects. This podcast will also feature discussions and interviews relating to the spiritual realm and evolution of the soul that’s both enlightening and entertaining. Thank you for your support and for listening to this podcast !

She commenced teaching cooking classes, became the host of “Lillian’s Vegan World” on ThinkTech Hawaii, and founded Lillian Vegan LLC. Her endeavors led to a feature story in the June 2019 edition of CRAVE magazine and the creation of lavish seven-course vegan dining experiences, including the renowned Vegan High Tea.With nearly 200 plant-based recipe videos on her YouTube channel and Facebook page, Lillian embraces digital platforms to inspire and educate her audience. Her culinary expertise culminated in the release of her debut cookbook, “Hawaii: A Vegan Paradise,” which showcases Hawaiian cuisine with a vegan twist. I had the opportunity to chat with Austin rock duo  The Caughtery.  Formed in 2020, The Caughtery is long-time Austin music veterans Lisa Tingle and David Gayler, whose contemporary rock output is influenced by musical threads running from the 60s through current.  Their 2022 debut EP "The Caughtery" presents a series of “musical paintings”, expressing the pressure and fragility of the human state over the last few years. In September of 2023, they released "The Rain Song," paying tribute to Led Zeppelin, produced and recorded by David Gayler and mixed by legendary producer Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, Tin Machine, U2, Ozzy Osbourne, HIM, The Mission), who also worked with Robert Plant on his '"Shaken n Stirred" solo album. "This is one of Led Zeppelin's most beautiful songs. A beautiful ballad legendarily created based on George Harrison's belief and comments to the band members that Led Zeppelin needed to compose more ballads. Mr. Plant and Page apparently took that to heart and created this masterpiece," says Lisa Tingle. Lisa Tingle has received multiple honors at the Austin Music Awards (Female Vocalist of the Year, Band of the Year, Best Song, Musician of the Year, Album of the Year), and has toured / performed with legends such as Etta James, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble, Eric Johnson, Stephen Bruton, Monte Montgomery and Marcia Ball. David Gayler is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter and studio owner based in Spicewood, Texas. Having moved here from New York in the mid-80s, Gayler has been in various bands over the years, opening for such notable artists as The Romantics, Charlie Sexton and Jerry Jeff Walker, and was also a member of the Party Band during MTVs journey down to Texas in the late 1980s.What is the Caughtery ?"Cutting or making new sound but cauterizing it and sealing it as you go along the path."  Lisa Tingehttps://www.thecaughtery.comQUEEN OF WANDS with DJ Nocturna Every Saturday on ModSnap Radio | KMOD: San Antonio 2pm (HST), 5pm (PST), 6pm (MST), 7pm (CST), 8pm (EST)Follow me on my social media sites :Website: https://djnocturna.comYouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/@DJNocturnaRadio: https://modsnapradio.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/nocturna.remixed/Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/djnocturna/Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dj.nocturna https://www.tiktok.com/@dj.nocturna
I had a conversation with Ren Toner, the founder of the French dark wave electronic act known as Divine Shade. They recently revealed their single “Stars,” which was performed live during Divine Shade’s set supporting Gary Numan’s 2022 UK tour. The song delves into the theme of the disappearing “inner child” as time passes. Ren Toner elaborates, that he crafted this song to explore how love and resilience lead us back to dreaming. Divine Shade later released a revamped version of “Stars,” remixed by Chris Vrenna (formerly of Nine Inch Nails), a 2022 Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee. The remixed track, renamed “The Stars Eclipsed,” boasts a more industrial sound.Additionally, another Divine Shade track titled “Oublier” features Steve Fox-Harris, Gary Numan’s guitarist. Their latest single, “Heaven,” is set for release on their upcoming 2024 album.Photo on the right of image was taken by Jurga Fotohttps://divineshade.bandcamp.comQUEEN OF WANDS with DJ Nocturna Every Saturday on ModSnap Radio | KMOD: San Antonio 2pm (HST), 5pm (PST), 6pm (MST), 7pm (CST), 8pm (EST)Follow me on my social media sites :Website: https://djnocturna.com YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/@DJNocturna Radio: https://modsnapradio.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nocturna.remixed/ Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/djnocturna/ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dj.nocturna THANK YOU for your continued support.

Leeds-based Italian-born artist Stella Wembley  began her musical career in Italy as a soprano while studying opera at the Royal Conservatory of Music "San Pietro a Majella" in Naples. Upon graduating, she found limited opportunities on the Italian music scene, she moved to London in 2017, where she found inspiration and avenues as a musician, performing at venues in Leeds, Blackpool and London. She is a  vocalist, lyricist, composer, music producer and video director. She  released  her 'Wasting My Time' EP, a four-track release of sheer electro-goth delight surrounding the track 'Wasting My Time'.  The loop- and arpeggio-driven synth backdrop feeds a retro new-wave vibe, and the catchy chorus underlines multiple conflicting sensations from dark melancholy to fiery self-expression, while exploring the esoteric and mystical and ultimately death, rebirth and destiny. Wembley has collaborated and performed with Lloyd Price (The Frixion), Auger, Inkubus Sukkubus, Zeitgeist Zero, Last July, Rome Burns and Machine Rox. Stella is currently working on her new album "The Alchemy of the Dark Arts'," which will feature Michael Ciravolo (a.k.a. Beauty In Chaos) on guitar.https://stellawembley.comQUEEN OF WANDS with DJ NOCTURNAEvery Saturday on ModSnap Radio | KMOD: San Antonio3pm (HST), 5pm (PST), 6pm (MST), 7pm (CST), 8pm (EST)THANK YOU for your continued support.Follow me on my other social media sites :Website: https://djnocturna.comRadio: : https://modsnapradio.com  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nocturna.remixed/Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/djnocturna/Twitter:   https://twitter.com/djnocturnaTikTok:  https://www.tiktok.com/@dj.nocturna

UNITCODE :  MACHINE is the Industrial/ dark electro project of Texas native Eric Kristoffer.  His music and songwriting crafts a paradoxical blend, fusing vibrant, energetic sound with brutally raw lyric. For Kristoffer, music is an emotional conduit. Songwriting becomes catharsis, a channel to confront personal stories and share vulnerabilities. His latest album was recorded at Code Violation Studios.Produced by Christopher Hall of Stabbing Westward, "Critical Fault" stands as unitcode:machine's testament to musical boundary-pushing.  The album's tracks delve into poignant themes, reflecting an intimate wrestle with the self. Yet, this journey isn't about descent into darkness; it's about embracing vulnerabilities and understanding. The observer becomes the storyteller, encapsulating the album's essence: a voyage of self-discovery and transformation.  Each song forms part of a broader story, symbolized by the visual embodiment of "Critical Fault. The captivating cover art, a creation of Greg Rolfes, seamlessly intertwines with the album's tale, amplifying the artist's narrative intent. Octavian Winters was formed in San Francisco, California in 2021 when Randy Gzebb (drums) and Stephan Salit (guitar), former bandmates in Thrill of The Pull, met up to discuss a film/television publishing deal for Thrill’s catalog (a four-year licensing deal has since been finalized with Expressive Artists). A subsequent jam session produced several motifs, inspiring several more jams in the next weeks. Gzebb invited Ria Aursjoen (vocals, lyricist, Keyboards), whom he had met earlier via another project, to a session and the musical chemistry was immediately evident. Gzebb brought in  Jay Denton (bass) to round out the lineup.Their debut EP , The Line Or Curve, is a mixed blend of ethereal, shoe gaze and darkwave genres, released via Stratis Capta Records and was produced by Octavian Winters and William Faith (The Bellwether Syndicate, Faith and the Muse, Christian Death, The March Violets) and recorded by Mark Pistel (Meat Beat Manifesto, Consolidated). ‘The Line or Curve’ – references the idea of symbols and sigils, which are intricate collections of lines and curves. They are expressions, arrangements or gateways of energy and if correctly drawn they may invoke and transform. But the configuration of lines and curves is vital; if not right, a sigil is useless and has no power. So at each point you are choosing whether to draw a line, or a curve,” says Ria Aursjoen. Each member of Octavian Winters brings their own rich musical tapestry to the collective and have shared the stage with many iconic acts over the years, including Nine Inch Nails, Killing Joke, Lords of the New Church, Savage Republic, Christian Death, The Frozen Autumn, Everything Goes Cold and Black Tape for a Blue Girl, just to name a few.https://octavianwinters.comhttps://octavianwinters.bandcamp.comQUEEN OF WANDS with DJ Nocturna Every Saturday on ModSnap Radio | KMOD: San Antonio3pm (HST), 5pm (PST), 6pm (MST), 7pm (CST), 8pm (EST)Follow me on my other social media sites :Website: https://djnocturna.comRadio: https://modsnapradio.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/nocturna.remixed/Instagram :  https://www.instagram.com/djnocturna/

Indie Rock project The Persian Leaps presents "Jeane" an addictive rendition of one of the Smiths Lesser known tracks celebrates the band's colossal body of work and the impact it has had on so many people. Originally released in 1983 as the B-side  to "This Charming Man" it was released on 7-inch vinyl and later released in several formats. Based in Minneapolis, The Persian Leaps was founded by songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Drew Forsberg, who wrote solo under his name for years before he finally assembled a band in 2012.   The single follows the Persian Leaps widely acclaimed "Machines for Living EP (2022) and the Drone Etiquette album (2021)."This cover of 'Jeane' is my tribute to The Smiths, who have been an important influence on me since 1985. I never took guitar lessons, but I did buy a 'Meat Is Murder' songbook and learn to play the songs as best I could. Without the Smiths, The Persian Leaps would still exist, but we'd sound very different, with less jangle and happier lyrics," says Drew Forsberg.https://thepersianleaps.comhttps://thepersianleaps.bandcamp.comQUEEN OF WANDS with DJ Nocturna Every Saturday on ModSnap Radio | KMOD: San Antonio3pm (HST), 5pm (PST), 6pm (MST), 7pm (CST), 8pm (EST)Follow me on my other social media sites :Website: https://djnocturna.comRadio: https://modsnapradio.comhttp://www.facebook.com/nocturna.remixed/https://www.instagram.com/DJNocturna
