Description

Chrissy and Janson (and sometimes a special guest) spend every episode discussing a different favorite movie from their childhood. One of them defends every element of the film while the others play prosecutor and ask the defendant to explain the bizarre, confusing, and cringe-worthy decisions made that may not have aged well over time. Your childhood is exhibit A.

Episode 3: Blank Check

In episode 3, Janson defends a movie that left an indelible mark on his childhood: the money sign! Blank Check from 1994 stars Brian Bonsall as Preston Waters, a 12 year old who finds himself in possession of a blank check written by a millionaire money-laundering convict. Chrissy makes him defend moments like what kind of parents are okay with their child "working" personally for an adult man they've never met, who sells a castle on a suburban street over the phone in a minute long transaction, and how long is too long for a kiss between a 12 year old boy and an adult woman.
Episode 2: Hello Again

Episode 2: Hello Again

2019-08-1401:02:42

In episode 2, Chrissy defends one of her favorite movies from childhood, Hello Again starring the incomparable Shelley Long. Janson makes her defend moments like how someone chokes on a south korean chicken ball and no one thinks to give her the heimlich maneuver, if anyone has ever really crossed their eyes before fainting, and the seductive art of casually massaging your husband's nipple.
In their pilot episode, Janson defends one of his favorite movies from childhood, D2: The Mighty Ducks. Chrissy steps in as prosecutor, asking him to defend the choice of Gordon Bombay as coach of Team U.S.A., what exactly the Junior Goodwill Games are, and why this ultimately wasn't a movie about the hockey team at all.
