Do you struggle with pursuing your purpose? Is your purpose unclear? Are you a goal getter that faces obstacles, roadblocks or gets stuck sometimes? I get it and I’ve been there. Trying to please people or meet expectations (of others or your own) can cause you to become paralyzed on pursuing Your purpose because it not longer becomes about what you have been created to do but what you think others expect of you. So if you’re like me you’ve pursued a career that’s unsatisfying or a relationship that’s incompatible or you’ve lost your faith due to outside influences. It’s time to push past that!

Welcome to the Pushed Into Purpose Podcast, where your host Carla George will inspire you the Goal Getter to push beyond the fears, challenges and doubts that may arise from time to time and into a life God has purposed for you. Do you want to know what it takes to create a purpose led brand? Sisters Keyondra Lockett and Kimberly Lockett share their experience of transitioning from #1 Billboard Artist and Celebrity Stylist, respectively to now the owners of the clothing brand Jolie Noire. They share how representation was so important to them in fashion that it was the catalyst behind the brand.  The idea behind the brand/statement Jolie Noire, is that black is beautiful. Jolie Noire stands for Pretty Black in French. We are primed to think dark colors (specifically black) are negative and light colors are positive. In an effort to level the playing field, we're working to shape the minds of onlookers and change the meaning, emotions, and values associated with black. Color is something that doesn't come pre labeled, we label it... At Jolie Noire we choose to believe that black, like other colors, is beautiful!  Their leading scripture is: I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. -Psalm 139:14  Purpose Tools: Join the Purpose to Profit sessions: https://carlageorge1.simplero.com/copy-of-carla-george-purpose-strategist  Jolie Noire Website: www.joliexnoire.com Jolie Noire Instagram: www.instagram.com/joliexnoireapparel  Connect with me at: Instagram: www.instagram.com/pushedintopurpose_ Email: pushedintopurposepodcast@gmail.com  Website: www.iamcarlageorge.com

One question that I get asked often is "Is it okay for Christians to profit from their purpose?" And the short answer is absolutely yes! But of course my challenge is convincing Christians to dispel the belief that Christians cannot be financially successful. In this episode I address 3 mindset blocks that are keeping Christian entrepreneurs from succeeding in their business and counteract that with 3 mindset changes you can use to help you flourish in business as a Christian entrepreneur. First we set the stage with this mantra developed from the definition of 'purpose' and 'profit': The reason why you do what you do is to have an advantageous gain to benefit the kingdom. If you are ready to take your business to the next level apply to work with me in my Purpose to Profit: Business Deep Dive Strategy Program. https://carlageorge1.simplero.com/copy-of-carla-george-purpose-strategist
I thought it was appropriate to do a rewind of this episode as we come to the end of the first quarter of 2021. Research shows that 80% of people quit their New Year's resolutions by mid February. I want to do a pulse check with you to ensure we are at the stage of achieving our goals versus planning our goals. I address 3 steps to ensure we are goal achievers: 1. Create your purpose statement 2. Take small steps in executing your goals 3. Create boundaries around your goals  Purpose Tools: Register for the Pushed Into Purpose Summit: https://carlageorge1.simplero.com/page/193191
We are in SZN 2!! This season we are going beyond our povot to exploring how we can turn our purpose into profit. So last season we talked about how we can Pivot into Purpose which ended with the Pushed Into Purpose Summit that addressed how we pivot in our faith, relationship, careers, business and mindset. It was amazzzinng!!! If you missed it no worries it is still available by checking out the link below. On this episode I give a brief summary about the summit and then answer the question...now what?? Now you've made that pivot we are in the season of executing and seeing exactly how our purpose can benefit the kingdom by benefiting others and ourselves. Listen to how I do a case analysis on Jesus' last days on earth and how he carried out his purpose on purpose! When it is your time to execute do it with the right strategy and intentionality. Many times we just want to move ahead with no guidance and no strategy. And while yes this will get you going it won't really keep you going. So what is your action plan? I formed what I term 'Jesus' 10 part strategy' to help you move into your new season. Which steps will you implement right away? Continuing in our series of Pivot into Purpose, on this episode I am talking with Pastor Candice Lambe about how we can Pivot in our Prayer life when we get taken off track and blind sided. We make pivots in so many areas of our life without recognising that we can and need to make pivots in our prayer life. This discussion was so good that this is a two part episode. Pastor Candice gives godly direction starting out with what prayer is, where to start on our prayer journey and how to go deeper in our prayer life. There is no conversation more important than the one you have with God.  Register for the Pushed Into Purpose Summit: https://carlageorge1.simplero.com/page/193191-virtual-summit-sales-page  Purpose Tools: Website: www.elpcbermuda.com  Pastor Candice's Instagram: www.instagram.com/candicelambe Connect with me at: Instagram: www.instagram.com/pushedintopurpose_ Email: pushedintopurposepodcast@gmail.com  Website: https://carlageorge1.simplero.com

Yes yes we know it's a whole new year BUT it's also a new year of life for me as I just celebrated my birthday AND it's a new year for my marriage as we also celebrated our 5th year anniversary. Celebrating these new seasons was different as we couldn't do what we initially planned and I felt bummed out. However, during that time I had to really think about what I was thinking about. So this episode is Pivot Into a New Year by pivoting your thinking.  There are many scriptures that deal with our thinking and mindset and we look at: Romans 12:2 Philippians 4:8 Isaiah 55:8-9 2 Corinthians 10:5 Connect with me at: Instagram: www.instagram.com/pushedintopurposepodcast Email: pushedintopurposepodcast@gmail.com  Website: https://carlageorge1.simplero.com

We have made it to the last week of 2020! And with that said I am sure you have already started seeing these 4 words 'End Your Year Strong'. But what does that really mean? On this episode I break down what it means to end your year strong outside of social and worldly expectations. We look to the scriptures as a guide to how we should define what strength is and how we can apply it to the journey we are currently on. Also, join me for the 2021 Pivot into Purpose 7 Day Affirmation Challenge starting on January 1, 2021. We will spend the first week of 2021 affirming ourselves as we pivot into purpose and become intentional with setting the foundation for this new year we are about to embark on. If you have not seen the Netflix phenomenon Jingle Jangle I recommend you put that on your list of things to watch for this Christmas season. Do you find yourself in a waiting season? Are you waiting for marriage, children, to lose weight, to get a job or for your circumstances to change? One thing we have learned in 2020 is how to navigate the spirit of waiting. On this episode Public Relations Strategist and creator of the Glambitious Brand, Lillie Mae walks us through her methods to help us win while we wait. She shares how she went through a very public waiting period by being casted on the Netflix show Love is Blind. Waiting doesn't have to be hard and we don't have to dread it. There are benefits during our waiting season. Lillie Mae's methods include having moments of stillness and action, knowing the difference between stillness and boredom and finding peace through alignment. Lillie Mae sums up our waiting season as a time where everything falls into God's divine timing and at the end of the day He is the one directing this movie. On this solo episode I read through Romans 12:4-8 and create the three commitments of purpose. I wanted to create these commitments so that this community are on the same page when we move forward in Purpose. These commitments provide a foundation and direction and overall keep us focused on this purpose path. They are: 1. I commit to know and believe I have something special to offer 2. I commit to be a part of the great mission of growing the kingdom  3. I commit to exercise my gifts well Take the Purpose Persona Quiz: https://carlageorge1.simplero.com/page/151790-purpose-persona-launch  Connect with me at: Instagram: www.instagram.com/pushedintopurposepodcast Email: pushedintopurposepodcast@gmail.com   Website: www.iamcarlageorge.com

Recently I read the book Harvard Business Review: Mental Toughness which is all about creating strategies that develop our brains capacity to rejig how people in high places handle stressful situations so they can operate at an optimum yet balanced high performance. God then revealed to me that the outcome of our situations lies in how we perceive and approach them. We are to become students of our situations and learn from them and not victims of our situations. I explore the story of Joseph and set out 3 lessons he taught us to become students of our situations.
