Diets & Disasters looks at my response to the advice I was given at St. Thomas’s Hospital when diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I run through the changes I made to my diet, lifestyle and mind set and outline what, if anything, helped me. Amongst others I tried the vegan, paleo and keto diets. I look at different exercise regimens and my new approach to mindset and mental health. I also look at how Aspergers Syndrome affected this change as well as my old battle with food/anorexia. Diets - FND, Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic illness, chronic pain Book recommendation
This episode looks at the continued decline of my heath, the rise of my neurological symptoms and my first official diagnosis. I consider the impact this diagnosis had upon my mental health and what I did to cope, which is perhaps different to the norm due to my having Asperger’s. I also cover different treatments I tried including hypnotherapy, Alexandra Technique, Yoga etc. as well as my ability to tolerate normal activities and living in London. Episode 7 looks at 3 key aspects of my life, Asperger’s, Mental Health and Eating Disorders (Anorexia and Bulimia). I look at how having Aspergers and Dyslexia affected my development as a child and young adult and how I unwittingly used the skills they gave me to protect myself from the real world instead of embracing it. I also look at how they impacted my injury & Chronic Illness. + Book Review Please rate & share! addnothingtoit@gmail.com https://www.instagram.com/addnothingtoit/
This episode illustrates what happened when I pushed through the pain and began working and working-out in London. I was repeatedly told that there was nothing organically wrong with me and that I should just get on with life. So that’s exactly what I did. I got on with life. Here is the story of how my body reacted. My book review for this episode is the often harrowing, always inspiring and largely human tale of the Endurance.
