Hello, friends and listeners alike, This special episode is brought to you, with thanks, from California State University, Dominguez Hills' very own Dr. Brant Burkey. For one of Taylor's senior capstone classes, she was assigned a podcast project that had to focus on social in/justice and COVID-19. Mental Health and the limited access to it is something she and Carli talk about, quite frequently. So what a better time to talk about how the pandemic has limited access to mental healthcare treatment and resources than here, on PTSDivasEnjoy this special episode featuring interviews with experts who focus on mental health and treatment, and from a student and discuss her experience and the effect the coronavirus pandemic had on her mental health.
On this special 1 hour episode, Carli and Taylor dive into research on Ketamine and it's use for treating depression. Using her Bachelor's degree in Public Health and Disease Prevention, Carli fell into the research and her brain got a work out. Katerina Bails, Kat, has been suffering from depression for a while now, but since the start of the pandemic, her symptoms had gotten to the point where she would lie on her bedroom floor for hours. Fastforward 2 months and 6 Ketamine infusion treatments later, Kat is back to feeling like her colorful, smiley self. So, why haven't we heard more about these kinds of treatments for depression? We discuss that and more, including asking Kat some of our questions that only she can answer!Sponsored by @stuffeyemade on Instagram <3Follow us on social media:Instagram - @gnarlicarliii & @blonde_taylorTwitter - @carli_elaine & @tay_helmes

Social Media: @gnarlicarliii & @blonde_taylorWhether you're moving a couple hours away, or a couple states away, this is a big transition! Carli and I both had different environments and circumstances for why we moved. But this move taught us both more about ourselves than I think we anticipated. Listen in on our experiences while we moved and how we came to now call Orange County our community, and home.
