I don't know about you, but being a sports mom or dad can be challenging! Back in the Fall of 2022, I signed my son up for football and it was practice galore plus games on Sunday during the same times as the NFL games. Where they do that at?? I heard Buffalo, NY has all of their games on Saturdays and Sundays for the Bills. Anyways, I digress. After my son was done playing football, I signed my daughter up for basketball and her season was for three months!! I have a full-time job, a full-time side business, grad school, and other things on my plate, but my kids are important and I want them to have experience playing sports. Especially since they came to me about it.  In this episode, I talk about my experience with being a sports dad and serving as a glorified taxi service for my kids to get to and from practice. I also share three tips I found to be important for keeping my sanity the next time around when football and basketball start up again. If you have any tips, I'd love to hear them!  -Kareem
In this episode, I provide information about the Gallup CliftonStrengths assessment that I use with my students and clients. I first came across the assessment in my doctoral program last year and I have not looked back since. From there, I became certified as a coach and I am loving the fact that I get to work with people to help them develop their strengths. It is my goal to help 100 people this year develop their strengths using the assessment as a guide.  For more information about the CliftonStrengths assessment, you can visit https://store.gallup.com/p/en-us/10108/top-5-cliftonstrengths For more information about connecting with me as your new coach, you can visit me at www.blueprintecs.net

How can we sustain ourselves by loving our spouses, raising a family, and getting ahead in our careers?? Sometimes I just want to go back to being a kid again because, for me, that time in my life was easy. I didn't have any bills or responsibilities and it was great! In this episode, I am getting all of my thoughts out about life(ing) because it can be hard to be an adult. Am I right or am I right??

The New Year is upon us and what do we have to show for it? Are you planning for your future or waiting for it to happen to you?
We are some busy folk! In all of our busyness we need to schedule a time to ourselves for self-care. It is vital for the brain and body to reset in order to function properly. In this episode, I provide three things that help me to decompress and reset.

Power + Load = MARGIN

Power + Load = MARGIN

What's going on good people??? I'm sure most of us are feeling the pressures of life and just need a break!!!  In one of my classes, we talked about McClusky's theory of Power/Load Margin. If you are a human being, you know all about carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders!!! I created this episode to open up the conversation about carrying too much on our plate which makes us tired, sick, and ultimately useless because we are depleted.  I'd love to hear your comments about this and ways that you've been able to increase your power and lighten your load of daily tasks and responsibilities.  Thanks for listening.

Death is one of the most difficult facts of life. Two things are constant in every individuals life; the day we are born and the day we die. There is so much we can do in between these two events, but are we doing enough? In this episode, I talk about planning for death and what we can do to provide a gift that keeps on giving.

We have so much to be thankful for in our lives!! What are you thankful for today?
I had a great time interviewing my good friend the doctor and professor, dann j. Broyld. Did you know that a history degree is worth more than just teaching? Dr. Broyld has quite a story coming from humble beginnings to now being a tenured and sought after professor. I know you will find his story remarkable and inspiring.
There are many ways for people to become business owners and embark on a journey to financial freedom. My guest Daniel Snead will be talking about his journey through entrepreneurship and the different lessons and values he’s learned along the way.

This episode is a short reflection of my suburban experience. Even though I didn’t the fact that I had to move to the suburbs from the city of Rochester, it was one of the best decisions they’ve made. If you can relate, I’d love to hear your comments!!!
Can anyone relate to dealing with Imposter Syndrome? I’ve dealt with it for years and it’s a fight to not succumb to it on a daily basis. I’d love to hear your comments on this and ways that you deal with not painting yourself as a fraud. Let’s get to the root of this so we can help each other.

I had a phenomenal discussion with Isaiah Brock a newly graduated high school student going on to attend North Carolina A&T University in the Fall. Isaiah talks about his upbringing living in two different worlds, learning valuable lessons from his surroundings and having a plan for the future. Isaiah mentions that he hasn’t seen a lot of black students (not people) chasing success and this was a major reason for him choosing an HBCU. There are so many more nuggets that he shared that I don’t want to give away so I’d love to hear your comments on this episode.
