Mairi is in space! Space, also known as THE ASTRAL SEA is navigated via specialized ships called SPELLJAMMERs. Mere moments after arriving in space Mairi and crew, aboard their commandeered spelljammer CEPHALABROAD, were attacked by GITHYANKI. They vanquished several of the boarding party and took one soldier, LIEUTENANT ZANTH hostage. He told them their planet was being seeded to drain its life energy and fuel that of his home star, XARYXIS. Aliens are attacking Waterdeep, launching STRANGE THINGS from the edge of the ASTRAL SEA that surrounds the world. The Blackstaff of Waterdeep VAJRA SAFAR has tasked Mairi and crew with investigating the ship launching these extraterrestrial projectiles.To do this Mairi and crew need a ship of their own capable of sailing the stars.
