This week, I discuss my views on the rioting and protest going on across the country. Then we will discuss an idea for trapping coyotes in hay fields after they have been cut. Now let’s all go change the world from the comfort of our Facebook...... EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com

Tonight, I discuss some comments I recently got on my Instagram. Reminder, I’m petty. Then we will talk about something I noticed with donkeys, and how they may be able to help with good locations for coyotes and fox.EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com

Sorry I’ve had a busy week, but had an interesting conversation a little earlier today that I recorded. I didn’t start recording until a few minutes in, so it doesn’t start from the beginning. Me and two other anonymous people discuss the coronavirus. Many other topics come up in this. Just thought it was a good natural spontaneous conversation, that I got permission to share.EnjoyEmail: host@trappingandnapping.comWebsite: TrappingandNapping.com

Tonight, we discuss a variety of subjects. If you were planning on attending a trapping convention, make sure it hasn’t been rescheduled. Then, we look at an observation I made this week. Wal-Mart is like the adult version of Chuck E Cheez, I explain. We will also talk about Mushin Trapping, and the Mushin mindset. The point where you do something CORRECTLY without thought. It becomes second nature.Enjoy Website: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
Tonight, I talk about being petty. Maybe I can be petty on behalf of those who can’t, but would like to be, I don’t know. Don’t be a hater. Be creative, not a critic of other trappers. We have enough people that wish to be critical of trappers that aren’t even trappers. Then, we discuss some articles I saw this week about businesses giving back their government loans. They must of listened to the last Trapping and Napping Podcast... But of course, the oil companies need money....EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comAs always, feel free to send any questions, comments, love letters, and all your hate mail to host@trappingandnapping.com

Tonight’s episode will start a little different. We will talk about the economy and some things I’m worried about after this is over. Then, we will have another Trapping and Napping botched story time. We look at The Zen Master and the Samurai, a short story, and how can we apply the lesson of this story to trapping and/or life. Hint, by not comparing. We are all incomparably unique.EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
Tonight we will talk about trap placement. What is the best trap placement for a coyote? My answer isn’t the standard “flavor of the month” trap placement that you probably hear about. I will explain the 2-11 trap placement, and why I think it is so effective. Then, we will discuss a good coyote set for a beginner, or anyone for that matter. It’s a dirt hole, right? Sometimes change is good. I’ll explain what I think, and the beauty of this simple set. Also, a video I recommend anyone watch that’s interested in coyote trapping.EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com

Tonight’s episode will be a little different. We start off with a homework assignment I’m giving for those interested.  Write about a coyote. It can be from any aspect you wish, and it can be however short or long you want it to be. After you do this, you can email me what you’ve written. Then we have a short interview with my mother. I thought it would be interesting to ask her about what she has learned about trapping, and maybe get a different perspective on things. EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com

Locations

Tonight, I will try to elaborate on coyote locations, and how I went about this when I started. Do the typical location matter? I don’t know, maybe this will help to clarify. We will also talk a little about coyotes being out in the open, then wrap up this episode by talking about a few features that any trapper should take advantage of if the opportunity is presented. We end with a request for some outro music that I will oblige. Just remember people, I’m not ice cream, I can’t make everyone happyBe safe Website: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
Tonight we will talk about some observations I made from this fur season. As well as some different things I tried. Then, we will discuss Spring and Summer Coyotes. Are they more difficult than fur season coyotes? I don’t know, maybe. In some ways yes, in other ways, no.Website: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
The Boy and the Coyote

The Boy and the Coyote

2020-03-0523:05

Tonight we will talk about the news cycles with coyotes. It seems to either be about how dangerous they are, or about how cute and friendly they are. Then, we will have something I’m calling the Trapping and Napping Botched Story time. I read a short story this week, called The Boy and the Bird. It was in the context of martial arts, but we are going to botch this up and try to put it in the context of trapping.Enjoy Website: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
This episode we will talk about two different approaches a trapper can take for getting permissions for property. Then, we will look at some things I might have learned this fur season. We will finish with something I’m calling the Hobby Trappers Rant. If you want to have a decent catch on smaller ground, THE RULES OF FUR TRAPPING DO NOT APPLY! You are working in different context.Be on the lookout for The Trapping and Napping Luxury Resort, Casino, and Spa.... after we get some investors of courseWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com

Tonight we will talk about some trapping related things, of course. Then we will talk about predator hunting. What do you need to get started predator hunting? This is a great activity that can benefit your trapping as well.EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com

Sorry for missing a week, been a little under the weather. Speaking of weather, we’ve had some crazy conditions in the East over the last week. Were you able to keep your sets and traps going? Then, we will discuss the importance of trying different things. Or the importance of being patient before trying different things if you are new. Also, how I think any new trapper can speed up their learning curve.EnjoyIf you have any questions or topics you’d like to hear about, feel free to email me Website: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
Black Mamba

Black Mamba

2020-01-3022:45

Tonight, we begin with something that was brought up by someone who had tried using two traps at a set. I’ve had this happen myself, so I thought we’d talk about it quickly so some of you won’t have to deal with this. Then, we will talk about being the Black Mamba of your own trap line. Most of you probably know who Kobe Bryant was, and the tragedy that occurred this week. So we will observe how a successful person views things in life, and how you should apply this to trapping.EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
We start with an article from this week, where a 2 year old was attacked by a coyote. Just another reminder of why predator trapping and hunting is so valuable and important. Then, we get into tonight’s topics. We will discuss set construction, and it’s benefits, as well as why getting a trail camera that takes video is a good investment for any trapper.EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
Tonight, we will discuss patterns in trapping. I think it is every trappers responsibility to recognize patterns on their trapline. With this, we can adjust and capitalize from what we are seeing. But we will begin by talking about blind sets. If coyotes are something you enjoy trapping, this should be a goal you have. EnjoyWebsite: TrappingandNapping.comEmail: host@trappingandnapping.com
