Description

A4E Presents... The Unhinged Weekly (ish) Podcast . It's like if you took your favorite morning zoo radio show concept and replaced the hosts with people you know talking about oddball stuff that you can relate to. Then you took their shitty mainstream music and replaced it with stuff you really want to hear or may have forgotten about. That's pretty much what we are working towards here. It's fun, its DIY, and it's about to blow up. Get in early!

Cheers

Following the worldwide success of our GG Allin episode we have decided to continue the discussion by taking more deep dives into our favorite Artists and obscure topics.   Tonight we discuss the life and times of Dave Insurgent and his band Reagan Youth, an American punk rock band formed by singer Dave Rubinstein (Dave Insurgent) and guitarist Paul Bakija (Paul Cripple) in Queens, New York in early 1980. Part of the anarcho-punk movement, the band members were committed political anarchists. Their name critiques fervor for then-presidential frontrunner Ronald Reagan with the Hitler Youth who pledged blind allegiance to the Nazi regime during World War II. Sitting in for Mike tonight will be our friend and guest host Stan Mueller, co-host of the Punk Rock Chronicles Podcast.  https://open.spotify.com/show/4stW6DwYZjahOysrvFJdmA  Hope you enjoy and check out Stan's podcast for some cool interviews with members of several legendary punk bands.   Cheers

To kick off our newest project under the A4E umbrella of podcasts (Assholes for Blackhearts) Rob sits down with musician and black metal enthusiast Anthony Martinez of the band Kaldr to shoot the shit about the metal genre and more specifically the infamous Norwegian Black Metal band Mayhem. Formed in 1984 in Oslo, Norway, Mayhem was one of the founding groups of the black metal genre.  They gained notoriety in the late 80's and early 90's through a series of destructive and terrifying acts. From church burnings to creepy stage antics, to eventually murder, This band definitely lived up to their name. So sit back, fill your favorite drinking horn with mead and enjoy the show as Rob and Anthony explore one of the darkest tales to ever come out of the music world.
On episode 4 of Unhinged, Chris, Mike, and Rob decide to diversify a bit and bring you a "pre Y2K" hip hop episode with some metal spliced in.  We discuss the movie Judgement Night and how it contributed to bringing two seemingly opposite worlds together.  Mike reads the news, Chris has many Freudian slips, and Rob asks more thought provoking questions.  So grab a drink, or some THC laden substance and follow along for the 4th installment of "Unhinged-Weekly (ish)"
