The long awaited interview with Sam, a truly humble and selfless servant of the people in his community. Listen as I interview Sam about his time in the military what he did and the great things he is doing for the community in his area with St. Kicks of Southern Illinois. We also talk about Hairless Ape Conspiracy how that got started and the mindset behind the blog and how he inspires people across the continent writing about the shit that real people struggle with.
Part 1 of 2:  Viewer Discretion Advised for slurred speech and fun Talks of guns, laws, social media, beer and life. Fun episode drinking 13.6% beer from 903 beer company that was bought from brew. We talk about stuff that has been seen on social media, in games and in our laws. Its a fun episode because it is in its purest form.  As stated before our opinions do voice or represent the organizations or are we affiliated with them any form on the podcast.
I hate to break it to you. You probably know someone currently or know someone that had some type of depression. I had secondary depression. I had to take a break from doing Podcasts after witnessing a horrific event on my street back in May 2020. I realized then I needed to do something to straighten myself. I'm now finishing up this masters degree and applying for my Phd. The secondary depression was nothing special. It was not isolated to anything I experienced being in the military. Truth be told this could have happened to anyone. I wanted to know what I was dealing with. I went to a psychologist and got an eval. Turns out I have a combined presentation ADHD she labeled it as high functioning combined presentation ADHD. Means I pay too much attention and trying to be like normal turds runs my emotions dry. Aren't we all a little crazy? In this last episode of my first season I come clean to show that its okay and we all deal with crap. Its not about the crap, its about our response to the crap. After my diagnosis I got put on Vyvanse and an ancient philosophy to autocorrect myself. Stoicism philosophy.  “There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power or our will. ” - Epictetus "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." - Viktor Frankl “How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?” – Epictetus “The things you think about determine the quality of your mind. Your soul takes on the color of your thoughts.” – Marcus Aurelius "We suffer more in imagination than in reality." - Seneca Infusing Stoic therapy with Socratic questioning of oneself is a very powerful tool, employed with cognitive distancing and stoic function analysis, stoicism will seem almost super human.
Episode 13 with Bri

Episode 13 with Bri

2020-09-1401:11:25

Bri patiently waited for me to publish this all summer. I did this interview with her right after experienced a horrific event and had to deal with myself. In this dealing with myself I found other stuff I was dealing with. She was delight and fun as hell to talk to. Listening to this episode through all my horrible sound problems first times recording from YouTube Bri still manages to make me laugh. Turn the volume up a little cause I had to do some extreme sound editing and pardon my laugh being high pitch. You'll thank me later for editing the audio (It was worse than it was before).  I may do another one with her since I have this YouTube and Adobe Auditions down now.
In this episode I followup with my good friend Aaron who is an absolutely killer guy and has a great show @9fiveadventures I recommend you check his awesome show out! I had the chance and the opportunity after watching Yvette recover and start to get back into working out listen to her explain these crazy details about donating plasma while Aaron and I record each other! I went on YouTube live for the first time and with all new things I fumbled a little bit learning the process of streaming live. Please welcome back Yvette and welcome my friend Aaron and check out his podcast for sure for positivity and to hear about inspiring people.
A Warrior From Within

A Warrior From Within

2020-04-1601:20:00

Listen about Covid19 experience and the grit from one of our own US Army Veteran Yvette. The mental health aspect of this on all spectrums and every side is surprising me every day and it is something I can totally relate to. Yvette and I agree that much of the mental health aspect from Covid19/Sars-Cov2 are very similar to PTSD. If you need help during this time Yvette shows us how it’s not a bad thing to speak up and if you know someone that needs help during this time, you shouldn't be afraid to say something. Yvette is an incredible person sharing her experience with Covid19 as one of the first people back in March to get it. When we started learning about it and will continue to learn about it. She is a warrior going to the gates of hell and knocking on the door like many others are right now. She tells about the loneliness and how it got to her during the treatment and how there are two sides to covid19/Sars-Cov2 the mental and the invisible physical. She has a lot of grit and she is open about the struggles that she deals with day in and day out and how this changed her life. True warriors sometimes must go down and knock on the gates of hell, sometimes by themselves, but it is better with do that with other people. It is much easier to knock on the gates of hell with someone else. Sometimes you must do that alone to show how much of a bad ass you are to the rest of the world it’s not fun. Yvette did it and now she has the rest of us to go to the gates of hell with her. A true friend and warrior will be there no matter what and you shouldn't get upset if someone says you might need help. Often the people that are saying you might need help are being a friend. Sometimes are the best friend you could ever ask for because they see something you may not and are trying to help. Don't be afraid to get help and don't be afraid to mention to someone if they are struggling to get help. These times are hard, harder on some people than others and life is hard in general.
Covid19 mindfulness, memes, life and veteran talk, current events, stocks and what the hell is happening? Why hasn't covid19 made zombies yet? Next time: How to make tp using poison oak, cacti, and poison ivy.
After a break from making podcast we finally have out first episode of the year up. While I was dealing with some personal crap in my  life involving another human half way across the country we decided to end this episode with a short comment about handling mental health in others, friends or family members. Listen and give us your feedback on what your first guns where, what you are shooting lately and what ways you think mental health in others can be handled on our social media.
Join us for our 5th episode of debauchery (Viewer Discretion Advised) with special guest Baca a peer veteran counselor and once again Mack as we talk about military life stuff we saw and experienced and the good things Baca does for the community in the south central Texas. I found Baca myself after my friends and I reached out to TNQ when myself was needing help. I found myself in a brand new area recovering from a spine injury. It was through Baca and the community of people that reached out I realized how important it was for veterans to have a community belonging together and living life together. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for some good people: Andy Bito, Harold (non-vet), Mack, Pat Baca, Carry The Load, Veterans Airlift Command to name a few. I owe a lot to these people and organizations simply saying thanks doesn’t do justice for the support they provided and continue to provide. These people and these organizations really turned my life around when it was at its worst and in the episode we explore what Baca is doing and how hard some of it can be to deal with. Also I’d like to remind everyone the views represented in this podcast are our own and do not represent any organization.
What is it like being airborne? What is like being a medic? What is it like being on the U.S Army Golden Knight team? I got to talk with an old friend I have not spoken to since 2017. Here we find out what life is like being on one a badass team, what life was like in the military, hear SFC Espinosa story and how to handle a zombie apocalypse.
VetWOD with Seb

VetWOD with Seb

2019-11-1231:12

This episode I talk with Seb who was in the Airforce and started a non-profit called VetWOD a wonderful organization that initiated a way to connect veterans and give back to the community through their workout competitions and fundraising. Each year they raise money for different NPOs that help veterans and active duty members. Listen as we discuss what they do and the ways it benefits veterans and how you can get involved.
Interviewing Chris and Dean from the local Team RWB and how the RWB organization has impacted the local area in college Station with so many veterans living here in a small area and discussing off topic veteran humor. “The views represented in this podcast are his own and not that of Team RWB, GORUCK, or any other organization.”
Listen to Mack a friend and now veteran tell us about life in the Marines getting out and coping with life on both side for military and civilians.
Quarantini with Kisha

Quarantini with Kisha

2020-04-0401:07:00

I met Kisha in physical therapy at the Center for the Intrepid. I have never been so excited for an interview than now. I have been wanting to interview people I served with and people I went through physical therapy with and she is the first and I'm so excited to get her on the air. She is one badass person and girl. She has a positive attitude and has a badass story. Listen as I finally hear her story how she lost her leg for the first time while I eat pizza. We talk about other shenanigans like her time on the shooting team in the U.S. Army, covid19, what she is doing was this created was it natural, etc. We compare nubs and make plans to drink out of each others prosthetic legs.
