Missing but not forgotten LGBTQ person is Aaron Cody Fortner. 31 year old Kevin Clewer was on a night out with his friend John. The two men were bar hopping in the Boystown gayborhood of Chicago in March of 2004. Kevin would leave John at one of the bars as he left with a young man who called himself Fernando. Kevin's body would be found in his apartment by his father the following evening. Back in 2001, Jayess, Mississippi a 58 acre compound housed Reverend David Earl King, his wife, his 32 year old adopted son, his 10-11 children, and some of his congregation. The acreage had a large house for the Kings, mobile homes for non relatives, a church with a basement that was used as a school, farm animals, trees and brush. The school was prime hunting ground for the Reverend, his adult adopted son and another man to prey on young boys sexually. 16 year old Nex Benedict was a gender non conforming sophomore at their high school in Oklahoma. This month they went to use the bathroom and were attacked by three upper classmen girls resulting in Nex having head trauma. The following day Nex died. This chid did not have to die, but thanks to some irresponsible adults that is exactly what happened.Oklahoma has been notorious for their anti LGBTQ laws, especially anti trans. Add an anti LGBTQ ultra conservative troll from Tik Tok to the mix and something tragic was bound to happen.
