We have learned to accept it as something that comes with the territory and move on. Over time, we have adapted to feeling this way and have come to see it as “the norm”; it has become a part of us. Not only did we adapt to it and become quite effective at it, but we are proud of this highly regarded trait. Often we may even attribute our very success to our “work ethic” and our ability to “deliver” regardless of how depleted we are.As we expand our examination of energy, we will work together to re-discover and build ways to create energy. However, one of the most challenging tasks you will have, is to unlearn some of the very habits and perspectives that have been useful in keeping you going. These have likely been some of the depleters of your inner energy and your spirit.Click HERE if you would like to participate and follow along with this podcast.Your single most dangerous enemy is negative energy. Two traits of negativity make it so formidable. First, it is cunningly adroit at entering our psyche when we are tired. Second, is its pervasive nature. If we pay particular attention to the negative energy around us, whether it be from team members, board members, employees or even strangers on the elevator, it is rare (and quite enlightening) not to see, hear and feel various forms of fear, anger, rigidity and negativity. Our journey is not about judging others, nor is it about labeling people, places or events as good or bad. It is simply and profoundly about learning how to live our lives fully, with abundant positive energy and deep authenticity.“Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people.” ~ Carl JungClick HERE if you would like to share and follow The VIM Way.
