FEAR IS PHYSICAL

FEAR IS PHYSICAL

As a Healthcare Professional - Doctor, Nurse, Therapist, …How would you feel and what would you say if your patient said:“Mental Health is REAL, but people don’t believe what I say”Brene Brown says it beautifully!“In order to empathize with someone’s experience, you must be willing to believe them as they see it, and not how you imagine their experience to be.Empathy has no script. There is no right way or wrong way to do it. It’s simply listening, holding space, withholding judgment, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of ‘You’re not alone.’”  SO...1. How do you EFFECTIVELY care when you feel like you don’t have ENOUGH time to care?2. How do you help your patients in the moment to access and be in their heart, to feel SAFE? 3. How do you support your patients in working through inner conflict that affects their confidence & perception of reality. If you are a healthcare professional, know you have my support! I am a HeartMath® Coach and mentor, and medical life & health coach who can work with you on your “HEARTSET,” in building personal resilience and emotional capacity for sustainable and heart-centered clinical practice! Healthcare Professionals are being asked to work under extreme physical, mental, and emotional pressures! I am passionate about this issue on so many levels!❤️ Healthcare workers are on the frontline of this pandemic face-to-face with challenges beyond what they thought they would ever encounter, yet they are rising to the challenge! As deeply tragic and devastating as this is, there is a beauty in the collective synergy of humanity coming together for a cause, people willing to stand up in courage and faith, deeply engaged in their heart, running off of HEART instinct and goodness to serve humanity at its time of greatest need.  Before this COVID-19 pandemic, there had been a silent internal moral war affecting healthcare professionals that needed to be addressed. This internal war was affecting the quality of care and the desire and capacity to care. We have been given an opportunity for renewal, to rise and grow from this challenge. We have a REAL chance to move forward and build a new brand of medical leadership who will inspire and empower, and model how we CAN care.As a medical life and health coach, I am committed to DIRECTLY supporting healthcare professionals in their recovery and renewal, providing regenerative and restorative tools and resources to help them build emotional resilience and increase their capacity to care! Check-out Campaign: https://bit.ly/InspiredMedicalWarriorHeroesJoin FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/inspiredmedicalwarriorheroes/This video may be a little intense, but I CARE DEEPLY! ❤️❤️❤️Video: https://youtu.be/lXgblBhTfkk

What’s the likelihood that you as a healthcare professional can be emotionally triggered by your work? Trauma and adverse events within health care settings impact everyone. Studies indicate that many healthcare professionals suffer in silence as they deal with anxiety, stress, shame, and guilt as a result of adverse clinical and traumatic experiences / events. Instead of suffering in silence, physicians, medical students, and healthcare professionals need to have a safe space and resources to talk about the trauma they experience and receive the appropriate support they need and deserve.Remember, even though you are a healthcare professional, you are also just as human and vulnerable as your patients... -What unresolved emotions reside in you? -What memories and experiences do you take home from the hospital or clinic? -Who are you becoming as you practice in your field of expertise? -How is your healthcare career affecting your life, your health, your relationships? You can have a career in healthcare with resources that support you on both a personal and professional level. Heart First Medicine Academy has just what you are looking for! The first FREE online masterclass "Rehab for the Heart" is being held in February. You must prepare and protect yourself in this vital role you play in caring for others. More on this topic and how you can receive support at: www.doseofdeborah.com
What do you consider as resistance? What is resistance as it is felt in the body? Resistance sets us up for aches and pains that can be physical, mental, and emotional. Resistance can show up in sleep habits, attitudes, and performance, and has a cumulative effect over time. Tune-in to learn more on how resistance can be visually witnessed and felt by the individual when you are aware and take moments to pause.
When end of life comes suddenly with no time to prepare, you can feel thrown off, shaken, or awakened. As Healthcare professionals, we deal with life and death situations as a natural part of caregiving as well as what we experience in our personal lives. We are just as vulnerable to life’s uncertainties as the patients and clients we serve. Have you given thought to how you live your life right now and how you would like to be remembered? I open my heart to you in this episode to share a personal experience that occurred this week, feelings of loss and sadness and heartfelt celebration which has given me pause for deep reflection.
