Recently I saw a social media friend of mine (who also happens to be a pastor) post the following statement:"What are you going to do about your complacent approach to Jesus and His church?"And it got me thinking about the many times I have accused the church body of being too complacent, or apathetic, or disconnected from the Church. Reality is, back then, what I really meant was that they didn't come to church enough. And they didn't volunteer in church programs enough. Or that they so quickly left one church to go to another church. But why is there complacency in the Church and how can we begin to reverse it?Support the show
Some Christians have been calling empathy a sin. Other Christians seem to think "masculinity" is the goal to hit for men. Let's talk about that!Support the show
You may not realize this, but there were 7 mass shootings in 6 different states in the month of March 2021 within the span of 10 days. And one of them happened down the road from Eric Nevins, host and founder of the Halfway There Podcast, founder of the Christian Podcasters Association, and the Religion & Spirituality Category Director for Podcast Magazine (<-- click this link to get a FREE subscription). In this episode, Eric and I talk about mass shootings, the churches response (or lack of one), and what could be done to help combat this seemingly growing problem in America.Support the show
Everyone has that one neighbor. Maybe in some cases you have more than just the one. But you know what I'm talking about... The neighbor who is completely inconsiderate and rude, cares nothing about what others think and how they might be disturbing their neighbors around them, and when confronted looks at you like you're the one who is being an inconvenience to them. Support the show
COVID raised a lot of questions about what governments can and can't do in regards to church and worship. Most of the concerns raised, however, come from a place that doesn't fully understand worship and the purpose of the church. Let's talk about that.Support the show
Tina Turner had a song in the 80's where she asked the question, "What's Love Got To Do With It?" As believers...we know that love has EVERYTHING to do with it.Support the show
At abortion centers it is often asked of those Christians who show up to reach out to the young mothers and fathers entering to get an abortion, "What are you going to do for them?"Glad you asked....here's the churches response.(Blogcast from Brian Baldwin, one of the hosts of the Angry Christian Podcast)Support the show
Kindness...it's something that seems to be missing in today's culture. But, why is that, and how do we get it back? The answer may be no further from you then the tip of your own nose. Support the show
He knew better. He knew teachers would be judged more harshly. He knew that invoking God's name in these abuses was a direct violation of the 4th commandment. He knew that the things done in the dark would be brought to the light. He knew the consequences of sexual sin. So... why?Support the show
We are one month into 2021 and it already feels familiar. Almost like 2020 is on repeat. With all that is going on around us, how do we get unstuck? The following is a peak behind the curtain at a discussion between the Angry Christian Podcast hosts via Facebook messenger as it relates to the effectiveness of the new Arizona Bill HB 2650 aimed at charging those who get an abortion and those who carry out the abortion procedure with homicide, as well as the effectiveness of other tactics aimed at ending abortion in the United States. In addition to that, I think you'll find an interesting dialogue as Brad and Brian don't actually agree on the issue, and you will see how Christians can discuss a hot topic, disagree, and yet be respectful of one another and still land on opposite sides of a debate. "Angry Dance" by Simon Panrucker https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ "Clear Progress" by Scott Holmes https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/Support the show

We live in a very politically divided time. Everyone sees the "other side" as the enemy. Conservatives see liberals as enemies and liberals see conservatives as enemies. Neither side seems very willing to work through differences, but instead want to paint with broad strokes and wide brushes the other party. To make matters worse, individuals have come to some conclusion that Jesus would've been a supporter of their party. But, would he? Is Jesus a conservative or a liberal? How about a socialist? Let's talk about that! Support the show
In a time when racial tensions are high, people often want to bring Jesus into it. Not just from a "what would Jesus do" aspect, but also from "What race was Jesus?". So, in this episode, we explore that a little. Was Jesus white? Was Jesus black? Tune in to find out where we land on this question. Support the show
Was Jesus a legalist, an anarchist, neither, or both? Tune into this episode as we explore another facet of the character of Jesus and 2 more ways that Jesus is often portrayed by people who say they know him, or at least say they know about him.Support the show
On episode 2 of season 3, we continue our discussion and exploration of who Jesus is by asking the question, "Was Jesus a Warrior, a Pacifist, neither, or both?" Support the show
Everyone has their own ideas about who Jesus is...but it is important that we actually know who Jesus is, and not just who we would like Him to be. Season 3 is dedicated to exploring the many ways people portray Jesus and comparing that to what the Bible tells us about Jesus. It's sure to be an awesome season filled with great discussions and thought provoking nonsense (wouldn't be an ACP episode without a little humor, now would it?) See you there!Support the show
