Description

(Previously The Mind Field Pod)
What’s the point in success if you can’t enjoy it?

Contrary to popular belief, business growth doesn’t have to come at the sacrifice of personal growth.

This show enables conscious entrepreneurs to become the masters of their minds so they can create massive impact with ease, enjoy the journey, and avoid burnout.

You’ll discover:

-How to overcome mental blocks and create a mindset that allows you to achieve everything you want in life & business

-Practical ways to go from feeling stressed & overwhelmed, to clear, focused, and at ease, so you can actually enjoy the journey of entrepreneurship

-How to turn challenges into massive opportunities for growth & success in your business

Before I (your host - Alexi) launched this podcast, I was a founder running multiple businesses and whilst everything looked great on the outside, I was struggling on the inside. Failures felt deeply personal, no success felt good enough, and I was burning the candle at both ends but I just couldn’t see another way. Then I met my coach, ventured into podcasting, started learning about the power of the mind, doing more of what I love, and ultimately, having a greater impact in the process. I now spend my time hosting founder retreats, and coaching founders through their business and personal growth journeys, allowing them to overcome mental blocks to achieve the impact they’ve always wanted.

We’ll be releasing new episodes weekly, which will consist of conversations (1 hr) with conscious entrepreneurs & founder experts where we delve into growth mindsets, high performance and leadership. We also have a ‘crazy founder stories’ segment (10 mins) where entrepreneurs share their most shocking experiences so that fellow founders don't feel alone in their struggles. Together, we'll laugh at the inevitable quirks and mishaps of our entrepreneurial journeys, reminding ourselves that even the craziest moments have valuable lessons to teach.

If you’re new here, I recommend starting with:

#49 - 10 Causes of Co-Founder Conflict, How to Communicate Effectively as a Leader & Create High Performance in Startup Teams

#37 - Harry Stebbings on Living with an Eating Disorder: How to Deal with Rejection, Insecurities & Uncertainties Whilst Building a #1 Investment Podcast & Venture Fund (20VC) worth $140M

This is a very special episode with my good friend Ed, who I have known for 15 years. This conversation is different to most and some may find it difficult to listen to. But that's what makes it such an important episode for myself, Ed, his close friends and family, and those who may have been affected by something similar.Ed was sexually abused at the age of 13 at boarding school. He kept this a secret until two years ago (now age 29), when he finally felt compelled to seek support from family and friends. Partly due to his internal suffering, but also due to the knock on effects it was having in his life and those close to him. From abusing substances to racking up gambling debts and self harm.Since opening up, Ed has been able to better understand the psychological toll that stemmed from this traumatic event and how it has affected many areas of his life. He also shares what he's learnt, particularly since opening up and engaging in various forms of therapy.Sexual abuse is rarely talked about - almost unheard of in a public forum. But Ed felt he needed to do something to help other victims and raise awareness about an issue that is more prevalent in society than we think. How many children are sexually abused? The NCPCC published a child sexual abuse statistics briefing in March 2021. Research with 2,275 young people aged 11-17 about their experience of sexual abuse suggested around 1 in 20 children in the UK have been sexually abused. That is a crazy statistic that I could not believe. And it is thought to be even more for various reasons.I could not be more proud of Ed for having this conversation - and I know I’m not the only one. He did not have to open up, but he wanted to. For that one person this may help, and I know it will help many more. So here's to one of the kindest and bravest people I know. Please do send over any feedback to hello@theconsciousfounder.co.uk and I will pass on any messages to Ed.- - -Click here for more ways to become a master of your mind.
